教学重点: 1. Key vocabulary: born, ability, creat, brain, active, attention, connect, review, knowledge, wisely... be born with, depend on, in common, pay attention to, connect…with... 2. Key sentences:  a. How can you become a successful learner  b. Practice makes perfect. c. He succeeded by trying many times and learning from his mistakes.  d. Knowledge comes from questioning. 3.Structure: verb+by doing
教学难点: Find the suitable learning styles and keep a good learning habit.

Step 2 Pre-reading (PPT 5-7) 1.Before reading, ask Ss: How many good learning habits do you have Guide Ss think of learning habis. 2.Read 2a and make a list about learning habits and have a discussion with partners. 3. Read quickly and answer the following questions. How many good learning habits do successful learners have 通过讨论引导学生 思考 How can we become a good learner 以此引入2b。通读全文,回答问题并且把自己好的学习方法与好朋友分享。
Step 3 While-reading (PPT 8-19) Careful reading. Make Ss read the passage carefully, and complete the following tasks: 1. Read Paragraph 1 and complete the sentences. 2. Read paragraph 2-5 and say the good habits. 3. Read Paragraph 3 and answer the questions. 4. Read Paragraph 4 and complete the mind map. 5. Read Paragraph 5 and choose the correct answer. 6. Read Paragraph 6 and fill in the blanks. 本部分是课文细读部分。每读完一段都要完成相应的任务,以检测对文章的理解。通过问题设计,让学生带着问题阅读,提高他们的英语阅读能力以及解决问题的能力。
Step 4 Post-reading (PPT 20-24) 1.Ask Ss to think of other ways to become a successful learner and discuss in groups ,then share ideas with the class. 2.Make Ss read the passage again and answer the six questions in 2c, then check answers. 通过此活动,让学生深入理解课文,并且对本课内容熟练运用。
Step 5 Practice (PPT 25-26) 1. Ask Ss to look up the words from the passage in the dictionary. Then write a sentence for each word. 2.Have a discussion with partners and share ideas with the class. Do you think you are a good learner What learning habits do you think are useful 通过学习使用字典查阅这些生词,使学生学会如何用字典的技能。这是学习英语必备的一项技能。
Step 6 Language points (PPT 27-38) Ask some students to read the language points so that they can understand the language points deeply. Master the phrases pay attention to, be born with, connect... with..., etc. 阅读这些语言点使学生加深对重难点理解。
Step 7 Exercises (PPT 39-43) Practice the language points by these exercises. 通过填单词、单选、完成句子等形式练习所学的语言点。
Step 8 中考链接 (PPT 44-45) Practice the key words and the target languages. 本部分设计主要精选中考题,针对九上学生面临中考的情况,引导学生学习过程中与中考链接。
Step 9 Homework (PPT 46) 1.Make sentences with the words in 2d.Write them in the exercise books. 2.Read aloud the passage in 2b three to five times until fluently and learn the new words and expressions in it. 设计该作业主要使学生们对于课文的熟练运用,并从文章中和学习中加以提炼。
