学情分析
通过平时对学生的观察,测查等可以得知学生对和本课相关的知识掌握的还算可以,以人的外貌特征为主线,兼顾交际功能的学习,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生学会用英语介绍自己或他人的外表特征。本课的教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流。在学习活动中,学生能通过交换对不同人物的描述及看法,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进情谊。由于七年级学生年龄较小,还要及时,适时的给与赞赏、表扬等。

教学目标
知识与技能:
语音:了解语音在语言学习中的意义。
词汇: hair, height,build,short, tall, medium, thin, heavy, , curly, straight,

He/She is tall. He/She has curly hair.
What do your friend look like
He is of medium height, and he has long straight hair

能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表,提高写作水平。
过程与方法:情景教学法;小组合作法

通过描述同学、教师或自己的偶像的外貌,简单地表达自己的观点或好恶,学会交换不同的看法,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人。
.教育学生要多发现别人的优点,学会赞美别人,友好地描述别人的形象。
学会赏识,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。
教学重难点
重点:掌握本课新单词和句型和怎样描述一个人的外貌。
难点:掌握描述人物外貌的方法
教学过程
Step I Warming-up
Show some pictures of famous people, let Ss guess “Who is he or she “”, lead to the question “ What does he or she look like ”
Let Ss try to answer the questions.
Finish “Task I” in Learning Guide then check the answers
Step II Presentation
Show pictures and learn new words$ phrases of this period: tall, short, thin, heavy, medium, curly, straight, long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair, medium height, look like......
Give Ss some minutes to read and remember these words and phrases.
Work on 1a and match the words with the people in the picture(P49)
Check the answers
Make a conversation

Step III Listening
Work on 1b listen and find in the blank in the picture
listen again and answer the questions

3. Check the answers together then let Ss try to retell the conversation after the tape
Step IV Pair work
Work on 1c in pairs (One of the people in 1a is your friend ,describe your friend. Your partner will find him or her.)
eg: -----What does your friend look like
-----She's of medium height, and she has long straight hair.
Ask some pairs to present their conversations.
Step V Consolidation
询问及描述某人的外貌特征
问:What do/does + 主语 + look like
答:主语 + be + 描述人物外貌特征的形容词。
主语 + have/has + 名词(名词前可有多个形容词修饰)
2. look like “看起来像……” He looks like his father. 他看起来像他的父亲。
3. hair 1) 指“头发,毛发”的总称,是不可数名词 He has long hair. 他留着长发。
2)指具体数量的“头发”,是可数名词 There are two hairs on the bed.
4. 描述人外貌的词汇
short 矮 tall 高 thin 瘦 fat胖
slim 苗条 plump 丰满 tubby 矮胖 muscular 强壮
of medium build 不胖不瘦 of medium height不高不矮
