2. 物主代词:
在英语中, 物主代词分为形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代
词;表示形容词性物主代词的有my(我的), your(你的), his(他的), her(她的), its(它的), our(我们的), your(你们的), their(他们/她们/它们的)。
我们已经学过的物主代词有: my, your, his, her;
My name is Frank. Your name is Gina.
His name is Bob. Her name is Helen.
当名词前已有形容词性物主代词修饰时, 不能再用冠词 (a, an, the) 或指示代词 (this, that等) 修饰。
〔译〕这是我的橡皮。
〔误〕This is my an eraser.
→〔正〕This is my eraser.
my(我的),your(你的),his(他的),her(她的)是形容词性物主代词,具有形容词的作用,只能用在名词前作定语,不能单独使用。它表示人或物的所属关系。
3. –Are you Helen –Yes, I am.
–Is he Jack –Yes, No, he isn’t.
这两个句子都是以be动词开头的一般疑问句。
肯定回答用:Yes, 主语+ be.
否定回答用:No, 主语+ be not.
4. And what’s her name
①and在本句中意为“那么”,起引出话题的作用,经常在同一个人连续提问时使用,可以不翻译。
②意为“和;又;而”时,可用来连接两个并列关系的单词、短语或句子。
