If you are earning money and doing some of your own shopping, you may want to enroll in(注册) some well-known rewards programs at your favorite stores. Here are some of the most popular rewards programs.
The Student Price Card(SPC)
This is a card that all teens, aged 13 and up,should have in their wallets. It costs $10,but you will easily earn this back in savings from a wide variety of retailers(零售商) including 10% off at American Eagle,Urban Outfitters, Little Burgundy, Marble Slab and many more.
SCENE
This is perhaps one of the most popular rewards programs for teens, aged 14 and older. It’s a pity that the SCENE program was dropped by Sport Check last fall. However, other participating retailers are mostly restaurants such as Harvey's and Swiss Chalet. Once you collect 1,000 points, you will receive a free movie.
Starbucks
For starters, the Starbucks rewards program gives you a free drink on your birthday. It also offers you the convenience of paying with your phone, instead of cash, at the register(收银机). You earn 2 stars for every $1 spent and after you collect 300 stars, you’ll be upgraded to Gold Status where you can cash in 125 stars for free food and drink. You must be 15 or older to participate in the program.
Air Miles
This program recently dropped the minimum age requirement from 16 to 18, which is a win for teens, although some would like it even younger. Air Miles is now a very popular rewards program, and has many participating retailers. You can choose to save up for a free flight or use the cash option at stores such as Starbucks Cineplex and Kemels Popcorn.

For years, life went something like this: We'd grow up in one place, head off to college, and then find a city to live in for a few years at time to pursue a job or higher education. The end goal was to find somewhere to settle down, buy a house, start a family, and begin the whole cycle all over again.
But a new model for living is emerging: More and more people are moving from city to city throughout their entire lives, sometimes as frequently as every month. Just ask Alex Chatzielefteriou, who has had a front-row seat watching this evolution unfold.
Six years ago, he launched a startup called Blueground that rents out beautifully designed, fully furnished apartments for a month at a time, at rates that are cheaper than hotels. Today, the company has 3,000 properties in six U.S. cities, along with Dubai, Istanbul, London, Paris, and Chatzielefteriou's native Athens, and a staff of 400. The company just invested $78 million to continue its rapid expansion and make each one feel unique and cosy, rather than standardized, like what you might find in a traditional hotel.
Chatzielefteriou first came up with the idea for Blueground while he was working as a management consultant for McKinsey. “The accommodation of choice for consultants is the hotel,” he says. “I had to spend five years in a hotel room, living in 12 different cities. I loved seeing the world, but I didn't love feeling like I didn't have a home.” As he spoke to his friends and coworkers, he realized that many people were frustrated with this restless lifestyle. And what's more, hotels aren't a particularly cost-effective solution for companies either. In Chatzielefteriou's case, McKinsey sometimes paid S10,000 or more for him to stay in a major city for a month, which was far more expensive than local rents.
4.What's the main purpose of the first paragraph
A.To tell the end goal of our life.
B.To introduce the topic of the text.
C.To stress the importance of buying a house.
D.To explain the reason for people's flooding into cities.
5.What motivated Chatzielefteriou to set up a company
A.His urge to have a home. B.His desire to make money.
C.His friends' encouragement. D.His experience in living in hotel.
6.Why is Blueground a success
A.It has obvious price superiority(优势).
B.It has good geographical location.
C.It has beautifully designed apartments.
D.It has unique and comfortable environment.
7.What does the text mainly talk about
A.The fall of traditional hotels. B.The rise of a new living model.
C.The advantages of Blueground. D.The disadvantages of traditional hotels.

What if you used every spare minute you had to practice a skill Imagine having 2 hours of free time a day where you spend 30 minutes learning a new language, another 30 minutes drawing, another 30 minutes learning to cook, and another 30 minutes learning video editing or whatever else that interests you.
Now imagine doing this for an entire year. Do you realize how much more skilled you’d become at things or how much more talented and gifted you’d appear to other people Imagine if you had 4 or 8 hours a day What if you did this for a decade or two Even 30 minutes a day could create a huge change.
Many people believe Leonardo da Vinci was one of the greatest geniuses in human history. Perhaps a large part of his genius was a result of knowing how to spend the limited amount of time he had more wisely than anyone else.
I think we all know we could have been better than we are right now. Instead of throwing in the towel and letting the gap between where you are and where you could be increase, do what you can to keep it from expanding.
You don’t even have to be the best at something to be seen as awesome(出色的). You just have to be better than most people and seeing that most people waste a lot of time, a little bit of time sacrifice and discipline can go a long way.
We all have a crazy amount of potential within us and although it’s nearly impossible to reach our full potential, the least we can do is give it our best shot. All it takes is a plan and self-discipline.
You’re the main character of your life’s story; it’s time to give your audience not only something to look forward to, but something to be inspired by.
8.What does the author think important in using spare time
A.Effect B.Frequency C.Amount D.Persistence
9.What does the underlined word “it” in paragraph 4 refer to

Some Ways to Boost Your Children's Self-confidence
Self-doubt, which is a normal part of children's growing up, always tells you, “You can't do that, you aren't good enough or you might fail.” 16 Fortunately, there are strategies that can help build self-confidence in your children so that their sound inside doesn't hold them back.
·Breathing. Deep breathing helps people to be aware in the moment and not to worry about the past or have doubts about the future. 17 So why not relax and try it with your children Meanwhile, you can encourage your children to understand that the critical voice inside is not something that defines them and let pressure and the negative thoughts go.
· 18 You can let your children spend time with friends and family so that they can feel they are with people who are on their team. Friends can help them celebrate achievements and are especially important when they are going through hard times. Keep reminding them that you're on their side.
·Abilities. Recognize their strengths and abilities and nurture these. If they enjoy dancing, dance. If they like chess, play it together. Just spend time doing things they love. 19 Focus on what your children love and are good at instead so they can thrive.
·Values. Teach them to value their thoughts and feelings by letting them know these are important. 20 Although speaking up can seem scary sometimes, it works. You can start by encouraging them to put their hand up in class and share their ideas.
A.Relationships.
B.Achievements.
C.Let them voice their opinions.
D.It also reduces stress and calms the mind.
E.The inner voice is with all of us and will always be.
F.It is challenging and undesirable to do some deep breathing.
G.Don't spend all your time and energy fixing their weaknesses.

作文
Last weekend I went on a natural eco-travel and we enjoyed the charming scenery. But while going sightseeing, a few people picked flowers casually, some catching the birds and many tourists dropping litter everywhere, which may cause harm to the wildlife there.
I don’t think it’s a pleasant experience. As we enjoy the charm of nature, we should try our best to protect it. Everyone should enhance the awareness of protecting nature to live in harmony with nature.Take nothing away but our good memory; leave nothing behind but all the green trees and clean water.
