Language points
①在一般现在时态中，be动词有am，is和are三种形式，要根据句子主语的不同作相应的变化。
1. be动词的用法：
记忆口诀：
我 (I) 用am，你 (you) 用are，
is用于他她它，单数is复数are。
I am=I’m　　　 you are=you’re he is=he’s
she is=she’s it is=it’s what is=what’s
name is=name’s is not=isn’t are not=aren’t
②英语中的be动词在某些名词、代词及副词之后可以用缩写形式。
be动词的缩写形式
③但要注意，并非任何情况下be动词都能缩写
I. am not不可以缩写；
II. this is不可以缩写，those / these are也没有缩写形式；
III. 在肯定的简略回答中不可以缩写，如“Yes, I am. ”不可缩写成“Yes, I’m ” ；“Yes, he is.”不可缩写成“Yes, he’s”。

3. 形容词性物主代词的用法：
①形容词性物主代词后接名词后接名词，作定语修饰名词，表示所属关系。
my name 我的名字
his car 他的小汽车
②形容词性物主代词与形容词一起修饰名词时，形容词性物主代词要放在形容词前。
his new pen 他的新钢笔
③形容词性物主代词与其所指代的词在人称和数上应保持一致。
This is my sister. Her name is Gina.
④名词前有形容词性物主代词修饰时，不能再用冠词（a, an, the）或指示代词（this, that等）。
