Teaching steps:
Ⅰ.Warming up
1.Greeting
2. Introduce Ms. Luo’s favorite fruit .
T: I like oranges. I also like strawberries, pears and bananas. But I like apples best. It means my favorite fruit is apples.(Write the two sentences on the blackboard.)
Ⅱ. Presentation
1. T: Besides fruit, I have so many other favorite things.
I think you also have many favorite things, but now I want to know your favorite subjects.
How many subjects are there in Grade 7 Now let’s learn about them.
2. let’s learn subjects. (Show the picture of Chinese book) Teach Ss “Chinese”, then teach Ss other subjects by showing pictures on the screen.
(P. E., art, music, science, math, geography, history...)
3. Ss read all the subjects and try to remember them.
(Game: Here is a memory challenge. Let’s try!)
4. Work on 1a. Look at the picture in 1a and match the words with the pictures. Then check the answers.
Ⅲ. Listening
1. T: Two students are talking about their favorite subjects.
Listen carefully and circle the subjects you hear in 1a.
(Play the tape and Ss listen and circle the words in 1a. Then Check the answers.)
2. Listen again and answer the two questions.

3. Listen and repeat by following the tape.

3. Check the answers with the class.
4. T: Let’s do exercise 2b. Match the subjects you hear with the descriptions. Listen carefully.
(Play the tape once or twice.) Now, check your answers.

2. Ss make their own conversations with his or her partner. Then act out their conversations.
Ⅶ. Exercise in class
1. T: Let’s make a survey. And then make a report.

2. Ask two students to act it out.
3.T: Finish your survey and write down your report after class.
