教学目标: At the end of the class, the students will be able to: summarize the passive voice of the past tense. think about your problem and think of the new invention to solve your problem. 3. write a passage to describe your invention.
教学重点: 1. Key vocabulary: professional, nearly take notes, come up with, lead to... 2. Key sentences: a. This is because sometimes a few people may invent things which are nearly the same. b. It’s hard to tell who came up with the idea first. c. So some people doubt whether the inventor came up with the idea himself or herself. 3. Structure: be+past participle

Step 1 Review (PPT 3-5) 1.Guide Ss to review the the passive voice of the past tense. 2. Make Ss read and remember them. 引导学生复习过去式的被动语态,为写作做铺垫。
Step 2 Warming-up (PPT 6-8) Show some pictures about inventions in our life for Ss to look. 2. Encourage Ss to think of more inventions and try to talk about them. 通过观察生活中的发明并讨论,导入3a。
Step 3 Writing (PPT 9-12) Work on 3a,3b. 1. Ask Ss to read the the instructions in 3a and then think of something that they do not like to do.Then think of an invention that could help them. Make notes. 2. Make Ss discuss their inventions with partners. 3.Ask Ss read the instruction of 3b. Imagine you are a business person. Write a description of your new invention. This special pen was invented by Liu Jie. It has three colors and is used for taking notes quickly. It is very useful if you have a lot to write down. The pen comes with a microchip that can store a list of common words that you will use. You can program the words you will use often into the microchip

When you are writing, you just need to write the short forms with the pen, press a button on the pen and the short forms will change into the actual words. The microchip can contain up to 50 words and you can make changes to the list of words whenever you need to.
