Step 1 Review (PPT 3-16) 1.Guide Ss to brainstorm the Chinese festivals and say something about them. 2. Review the foreign festivals and read them. 学生对本单元所学的节日掌握情况。为本节课的写作提供话题。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 17) Work on 3a. 1. Ask Ss to think of a festival and fill in the chart in 3a in English. Encourage them to ask questions if they need help. 2. Make Ss talk about their notes in pairs. 3. Ask some pairs to present their ideas to calss. 用本单元的词汇、句型写出自己对节日的描述。为3b信件的书写提供素材。
Step 3 Writing (PPT 18-23) Work on 3b. Have Ss read the instructions in 3b. Help them understand how to write the letter. Show the expressions on the board. Make Ss read and learn to use these expressions or sentence patterns to finish the letter. Write a letter about favorite festivals with the expressions in 3b. Show one of the good passages to other students. Analyzes the good sentences and correct the errors. 建议学生用上3b导图所给的句式结构来描述自己喜欢的中国节日以及对节日的感受和看法。 等学生完成作文后,找出一两篇范文来展示。
Step 4 Self Check (PPT 24-28) Work on 1. 1.Simply introduce Easter.Ask Ss to read the words in the box and understand the Chinese meanings of the words. 2.Read the passage in Self check and complete the passage. 3.Check answers. Work on 2. 1. Ask Ss to go trough the sentences by themselves. 2. Make Ss rewrite the sentences. 3. Check answers in class. Work on 3. 1. Ask Ss to read the instructions. 2. Make sentences about a festival/festivals using the words + that/whether/if. 3. Check answers in class. 引导学生阅读文章,总结这个复活节的时间、活动、食物以及节日的意义。通过句子练习帮助学生熟练运用宾语从句和感叹句。
Step 5 Language points (PPT 29-31) Explain the usage of “not only...but also”. 学生熟练运用not only ...but also...的用法。
Step 6 Exercises (PPT 32-38) Practice the language points and the grammar of Unit 2. 通过单选、完成句子等形式练习所学的语言点和语法。
Step 7 Homework (PPT 39) Review what you have learnt in this unit and preview the next unit. 本节课的作业主要是复习本单元的内容,同时预习下个单元的。

教学反思 围绕本单元的话题写作时,尽量用上本单元所学的语法和基本句型。比如本单元就可以用感叹句表示强烈的感情,用宾语从句来表达观点和看法。
