Step 2 Pre-reading (PPT 8-9) Work on 2a. 1. Show Ss some pictures of paper cutting and ask: What do you know about folk or traditional art, like paper cutting Tell your partner about it. 2. Ask some Ss say something about paper cutting. 3. Make Ss read the passage about paper cutting. 观察图片,说说对于paper cutting的了解,并且看文章了解剪纸的内容,导入2b课文。
Step 3 While-reading (PPT 10-22) Careful reading. Make Ss read the passage and finish the following tasks. 1. Read the passage and match every paragraph with the traditional art. 2. Read paragraph 1 and fill in the blanks. 3. Read paragraph 2 and complete the mind map about sky lanterns. 4. Read paragraph 3 and fill in the blanks. 5. Read Paragraph 4 and number the steps of making clay pieces. 6. Repeat the steps of making clay art pieces. 7. Summarize the traditional art form. 8.
