1、 整体设计思路:发明创造对初中生来讲既神秘又有吸引力。本节课以发明为主题,通过视频、图片、听力材料等,让学生了解历史上的重大发明对人类生活的影响,从中获取大量伟大发明的信息,激发学生参与讨论的兴致和进行发明创造的愿望。教师可以引导学生以小组活动的形式介绍他们认为最伟大的发明,创意设计网页并在课堂展示。最后进行班级评选,对优胜者进行奖励。
2、 教材分析:本节课以”Great Inventions”为主线,通过一系列图片、视频、思维导图等,让学生对重大发明在人类生活中影响的话题产生兴趣,从而激发学生参与的热情。本单元通过托尼和爸爸的对话很自然地导入一般将来时的被动语态,教师可以借助学生对数码产品的兴趣,引导学生分享自己在实际生活中对数码产品的了解和应用,从而激发学生的学习兴趣。
3、 学情分析:九年级的学生经过了两年多时间的学习,积累了一些英语语言知识,如单词、词组、句型等,具备一定的听、说、读、写的能力。而本班学生以中层为主,有一定英语的基础,个性比较活跃。课堂上,学生基本能听懂老师的指令,大部分学生能参与课堂活动,但学习的主动性与自觉性不足,不能大胆、大方地表达自己的想法。根据中学生的心理特点,教师需通过竞赛、鼓励等方式调动其参与课堂活动的积极性,引导学生积极参与同伴讨论、小组竞赛等课堂活动,完成本节课学习任务。
4、 教学目标:
1、 语言知识:学习有关发明创造的的词汇与句型;
2、 语言技能:
1) 能够听懂谈论发明及其应用的对话;
2) 能够谈论已有的发明创造给人类生活带来的变化;
3) 能够口头讲述发明创造的发展,提出自己的意见,并与同学交流;
3、 情感态度:对现有的发明提出自己的意见,并与同学交流;教育学生在尝试新科技产品的同时,要尊重并保留中国的传统文化产品。
4、 学习策略:能够明确自己在小组活动中的责任和分工, 善于倾听别人的意见,与同学互相学习。
5、 教学重难点:本节课学习的重点为有关发明创造的相关词组、句型,难点是能根据已有的知识,讲述发明创造对人类生活带来的变化。

Step One:Warming up 1. To make students get into the habit of reading.2. As Grade Nine students, they should practice more passages besides words. Get a short and funny story for the students to have a fast reading before class. Then ask a question about it. Read the story by themselves before class. Answer the question after reading. Step Two:Leading in To make students interested in the topic and want to know more. Play a flash about E-book.Ask their feelings after watching. Talk about the topic of Great Inventions and structure of Future Simple Passive.Show the learning objective for students. Watch a flash and talk about their feelings . Step Three: Brain Storming 1. To sum up more vocabulary for students to talk about the topic of Great inventions.2. Mind map is a good way for students to get information. Use some more pictures and sentences to introduce the great inventions.Talk about great inventions with a mind map. Learn and read the new words , try to understand the sentences .Translate some difficult sentences. Pictures, mind map on multimedia, laser presenter.
Step Four:Listening To train students listening skills.(To train students skills of doing different kinds of listening exercise.) Show some pictures of the inventions and ask a question: Which is the most important invention in people’s lives Play the recording and ask students to finish the exercise. Get more information about great inventions. Listen and finish the exercise. Give their answers one by one. Pictures, words , sentences on multimedia, music player, laser presenter.
Step Five:Reading and speaking 1. To improve students reading and speaking skills.2. To train the students team work spirit. Ask students to enjoy a video about Tony and his dad.Set the limited time for students to perform the conversation.Get ready for the papers to draw by lot.Lead students to talk about the changes according to the recording.Ask some questions of students daily life about using the inventions. Watch a video and try to understand more about the conversation.Draw by lot to choose their characters. Practise in groups.Perform in class.Talk about the changes in communications and ways to get information.Answer questions of their daily life about using inventions. Step Six:Debate competition 1. To give a chance for the students to practice their oral English. 2. To train students team work spirit. Ask the group monitor to draw by lot to decide claim or counterclaim.Set limited time for them to discuss their opinions. Chair a debate competition. Choose to be the claim or counterclaim by drawing by lot.Discuss in groups and write down their opinions on the colour card. Have a debate competition to get more marks. Step Seven:Summary 1. To make a clear understanding about books and computers.2. To give an affective education.3. To make students memorize and consolidate. Announce the result of debate competition. Give an affective education of Chinese tradition.Have a summary of this lesson. Cheer up for the winners . Step Eight:Extension 1. To give a good memory for students to learn about great inventions.2. To develop an interest in learning. 本课设计能紧扣教材,挖掘文本,用心提炼,能指导学生对本节课学习内容进行梳理和整合;在知识层面上, 学习内容涉及本模块要点;在语言层面上,从词、句、篇三个层次对学生进行训练;在技能层面上,渗透了听、说、读、写4种能力的培养。
教学设计注重构建本模块知识板块之间的联系,关注知识和技能的互相渗透,尊重学科知识的逻辑体系。教学内容由浅入深, 环环相扣,难度逐步提高,并做到每一步都是后一个步骤的铺垫。设计活动时,既考虑对前面所学内容的巩固,也是对学生能力的提高与拓展。
