M12 U1 What should we de before help arrives 教学设计
1、 教学目标
1. 能听懂谈论急救话题的听力材料;能够讨论突发事故以及应该采取的相应措施;能够写出预防校园意外事故的文段。
2. 观察并归纳祈使句的肯定式和否定式的用法。
3. 在意外事故出现时,能够运用所学到的急救知识提出解决方案,培养学生在灾难中的自我保护意识。
二、学情分析
该班学生学习积极性较高,学习能力较强,上课互动较好,部分学生英语口语能力突出,善于展现自我。绝大多数学生能适应老师全英教学,听懂基本的英语教学指令并完成老师布置的任务。平时在训练学生的时候强调学生要自主学习,所以该班学生能够看懂课文并口头复述课文,善于学以致用,能和小组用简单的英语讨论指定话题,并写出与初二能力相应的短文。全班学习英语的积极性高,学习气氛浓厚。
3、 重点难点
教学重点:1. 听懂课文内容,能够写出校园内有可能发生的意外事故以及应该采取的急救措施;2. 掌握祈使句的用法;
教学难点:本节课主要培养学生的听说能力,而课文的听力内容则是教师与学生就急救这个话题展开的一段对话,内容涉及到一些如何描述突发事故的词汇和短语,以及采取的急救措施,这些英文表达对学生来说比较难以理解,故在教学设计中,我先将这些表达视频和图片的形式展现出来,并结合课本练习1的内容进行导入,让学生直观地感受到此对话的内容。在写作方面,因为此环节是Unit3提上来的,故在描写如何预防校园意外事故之前,老师先出示校园安全标语,并给出文字材料,这样可起到指引和降低写作难度的作用。
4、 教学过程
步骤一:Lead-in
Teacher shows a video about an accident that happened in a middle school in Hunan and asks the students: What happened to the boy
[设计意图] 通过视频引起学生学习的兴趣,提高学生的安全意识。
步骤二:Talk about the pictures.
词汇导入,展示一些平时学生容易出现的安全事故,引导学生用英语对事故进行描述,为听力环节做铺垫。
步骤三:Listening :Listen and complete the blanks with the words in the box.
[设计意图] 检测新单词的运用及培养学生听力的技能。

步骤四:Watch a video about an accident that happen at school and ask students to describe it. Then show them two kinds of first aid suggestions and ask them which one is better.
[设计意图]播放一则事先录好的安全演习视频,并展示两种不同的急救方式,让学生讨论并判断哪一种急救方式较好。同时,导出新学课文内容中将出现的短语和较难理解的句型,为下一环节做铺垫。
步骤五:Ask the students to listen and answer the questions. Then listen again and decide these first aid suggestions are good ideas or bad ideas.
[设计意图]课本活动3的听力内容是让学生判断5种急救建议是正确的还是错误的。学生在不熟悉课文的情况下也许会有难度,所以增加了一个听力环节,设置2个较简单的问题让学生回答。再在第二遍的听力训练下完成课本活动3的要求。

步骤六:Reading:Read the conversation and complete the blanks with the words in the box.
[设计意图]课本活动四的内容是让学生阅读对话后将对话内容概括为一篇小短文,这一活动设计旨在复习巩固已学的词汇和短语,并加深学生对课文内容的理解。

步骤七:Watch the flash and read in roles.
[设计意图]学生通过观看视频、模仿朗读、表演对话、感悟对话中人物的情感和态度,能够激发自我的兴趣和提高语音语调水平。
步骤八:Speaking:Ask the students to work in pairs and make a dialogue about how to save him or her.

[设计意图] 让学生发挥想象学校生活中容易出现的安全事故,并根据已学内容给出急救建议。
步骤九:Writing:First,teacher show some Safety Slogans in school, and show students how to describe them in English. Then ask them to write some sentence about how to keep safe at school Finally, share their works in class.
[设计意图]强化学生安全意识,训练学生的写作能力,在写作之前,老师先向学生展示一些校园安全标语,引导学生用英语表达这些安全标语,并做示范,降低写作难度,并且照顾不同层次的学生。

步骤十:Summary. Ask the students what they learned in this lessons. Help the students remember them .
[设计意图]人人学有所得,课后总结会让学生清晰易懂,做好有效的复习与巩固。
步骤十一:Homework. Write a composition about how to keep safe in school.
[设计意图]这是2011年的广东省中考英语的题目,虽然这个话题在课堂上已经接触过,甚至有小部分同学完成得非常棒,但是这个写作任务是整个教学活动的综合与延伸,让学生通过本节课的学习,锻炼写作能力和语言运用能力,并提高他们的安全意识。
你觉得你的校园生活安全吗 请你写一篇题为“How to Keep Safe in School”的短文。内容包括:
1. 描述一件发生在你身上或你看到的发生在校园的意外事件(经过)。
2. 提出解决这种校园意外事件的建议(至少两条)。
要求:语句连贯,词数60个左右。开头和结尾已经给出,不计入总词数。)
