一、教材分析
本课是外研版新标准英语三年级起点四年级上册第五模块第二单元。本单元继续围绕“能力(can)”这一话题展开,课文情景是Ms Smart向体育老师了解学生的特长,以便组建不同的俱乐部或兴趣小组,学习本单元有利于学生在实际生活中更好的运用英语交际,也是朋友之间加深相互了解从而增进友谊的常见行为。
二、学情分析
本节课的教学对象是四年级的学生。他们比较好动、好奇、好胜与好玩,模仿能力强。因此,我将在课堂上利用大量的图片为孩子们提供会话情景,通过听、说、读、唱、演等活动,激发学生学习的兴趣,培养学生良好的学习习惯,逐步形成有效的学习方法,发展自主学习的能力。本单元是在前一模块学习的Can you… 这一结构的扩展。学生有一定的基础,所以学起来也比较容易些。
三、教学目标
1、语言技能
全体学生能运用“Can Sam play football?I can……”询问他人的能力及说明自己的能力。
2、语言知识
(1)全体学生能够初步运用语句: Can Sam play football?
(2)全体学生能够初步理解词汇:strong,star
全体学生能够初步运用词汇:star
部分学生能够初步运用词汇:strong
3、情感态度
通过本课的学习,学生能够用“can”询问他人的能力与说明自己的能力,积极大胆的开口说英语,并愿意与他人交流,积极参与各种课堂学习活动,展现自己的才能。
4、学习策略
通过大量的图片、歌谣或游戏来学习单词,主动练习和实践所学内容,积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务,并且尝试归纳已学的can的用法。
四、教学重、难点

能使用“can”谈论能力。
2、难点
熟练运用Can you… Yes, I can. /No, I can’t.进行简单会话。
五、教学过程
(一)复习导入Revision and lead in(3分钟)
1.Greeting: t:Good morning boys and girls.
