一、where引导的特殊疑问句
where作特殊疑问词，意为“在哪里”，引导特殊疑问句，用来询问某人或某物的________。
用 法 提问地点
结 构 Where is/Where's＋主语(第三人称单数)？
Where are＋主语(第二人称或复数)？
答 语 主语(人称代词It、They等)＋be动词＋表示地点的介词短语.
位置
【注意】
1.be动词要与主语在人称和数上保持一致。
2.回答时，也可省略主语和be动词，直接用介词短语来回答。
例：—Where is my pen 我的钢笔在哪儿？
—It's in the pencil box.它在铅笔盒里。
—Where are my books 我的书在哪儿？
—On the desk.在书桌上。
二、方位介词on, in与under的用法
1.方位介词的概述
英语中表示人或事物的位置时，通常要借助方位介词。方位介词不能单独使用，通常和后面的名词或代词一起构成介词短语。其结构为：方位介词＋定冠词the或形容词性物主代词等＋名词。
2.方位介词on, in与under的用法
on 表示“在……上”，指一物体在另一物体的上面。
in 表示“在……里”，指一物体在另一物体的________。
under 表示“在……下”，指一物体在另一物体的下方。

(1)对表示位置的介词短语提问时，要用疑问副词where。
例：The cat is under the tree.(对画线部分提问)

(2)由于中文的表达习惯，如“我的书在桌子上。”，很多同学会忘记在on the table前加动词be。
例：His ball is under the desk.他的球在书桌底下。
