星期小常识
星期是一种以七天为周期循环的记日制度。在汉语中我们也称一星期为一周。
星期名称的由来和西方神话有关。从其拼写我们可以看出星期日Sunday(day of the sun)与太阳有关，星期一 Monday(day of the moon)与月亮有关。剩余的五天也分别有其对应的星辰和神话故事。通常的说法是周日到周六分别对应日、月、火、水、木、金、土七星。
在不同地区，一星期的开始时间并不完全一致。我们习惯上认为星期一是一周的开始，而在许多说英语的国家(English-speaking countries)，人们则认为星期日是一周的开始。
