主要教学步骤
Step 1: Lead-in Greet the class as usual. Review the key words in this unit. Read the words in the word list of this unit aloud. Ask and answer. According to the situation of the city, the teacher gives some places and asks the students how to go to these places. The students answer these questions. T: Excuse me, could you please tell me how to get to the bookstore S1: ... T: Excuse me, do you know where I can get some postcards S2: ... ... Step 2:Pre-writing Discuss How to ask for information politely And list as many polite questions as plete the task in 3a. Imagine you are going on a short study vacation at a school in an English-speaking country. What would you like to know before you go Write some polite, indirect questions about the following topics. Step 3: While-writing Outline the writing. Get students to outline the writing according to 3a. Some key words and expressions. Think about how you can express the ideas in your outline. List the key words and expressions that may be used. If you have difficulties in using these words and expressions, you can ask teachers and classmates for help.There are some useful expressions in the box below. You can refer to these expressions. Use the following expressions to help you: My name is ... and I’m from I’ll be coming to your school for... I’d like to know about ... I would like to thank you for ... I’m looking to your reply. Ask students to complete the first draft Step4: Post-writing 1.Ask students to change their writings with their deskmates and do peer-editing. 2.Invite some students to show their writings to the class. Evaluate them in details and point out the advantages and disadvantages. Step5: Complete the Self Check Fill in the blanks with the words in the box. Write questions and answers using the words given. After 7 minutes, check the answers. The teacher will explain relevant language knowledge points, and ensure that students can understand. If students have problems, the teacher must explain them.
