用法
if引导条件状语从句表示某种假设
if 意为“如果；假如”，表示某种假设。
(1) if从句表示某种假设的情况，主句表示此种情况所导致的结果。从句可以位于主句之前或之后。
(2) 从句如果用一般现在时，主句的谓语动词多用一般将来时或“情态动词+动词原形”。
① If it does not rain tomorrow, we will go hiking.
如果明天不下雨，我们就去远足。
② I'll pay you double if you get the work finished by Friday.
如果你周五前完工，我付你双倍的报酬。
③ If the soil dries out, the plants may die.
如果土壤变干，植物有可能死亡。

在含有if引导的条件状语从句的复合句中，如果从句的主语为you，该复合句可转换为: 肯定句用：祈使句 + and + 简单句 ，否定句用祈使句 + or + 简单句 。

② If you don't put the meat in the fridge, it will go bad.

有时，if引导的条件状语从句可以与 with或without引起的介词短语互换使用。

if还有“是否”之意，引导宾语从句。在具体使用中，我们要注意区分if引导的是宾语从句还是条件状语从句。
