2.Talk about your plan and what you will do.
Teaching Difficult Points: Enable the students to give reasons for their ambition.
Teaching ways: Listening, reading and discussing.
Lessoning Aids :Audiotape, recorder, sliders,flashcards, pictures
Type of lesson: New lesson
Teaching procedure:
一、 温故知新。Check some words and phrases of lesson 27.
二、 激情导入。
Review :Ask the students to talk about their ambitions.
T: Yesterday we learned Mike’s and Peter’s ambitions. Now I’d like to learn about your ambitions. Who will be the first one
S1: I want to be a teacher.
T: Why do you want to be a teacher
S1: Because a teacher can help lots of students. I like to help others. I also think teaching is fun.
T: Good! So you can get happiness from that. What about you, S2
S2: I want to be a pop star. A pop star can be very rich. I want to buy a good car and a large house.
T: Why do you want a good car and a large house
S2: Because a good car and a large house will make me happy. I like to drive a good car. I like to live in a large house.
T: But after you buy a good car, you will want a better car. After you have a large house, you will want a larger house. Then you won’t be happy. I’m a teacher. I don’t have a good car. I’m not rich. But I am very happy. Because I love teaching you. My work makes me happy. I love my family. After I get home from work, I am very happy to stay with my family, though I don’t have a large house. Next, let’s discuss the following questions in groups:
Show the following questions in THINK AOUT IT on the PowerPoint.
What makes you happy
What makes you sad
Then ask some pairs to give their answers. They may take the form of making dialogues.…
After that help the students to learn that money is important, but it isn’t everything. Money may not buy you the true happiness.
三、 新课学习。
Step one: Showing the teaching aims on the blackboard and asking students to read them together.
1.Remembering some new words and phrases of lesson 28 work in group.
2.Talking about future.
3.Understanding the passage meaning.
Step two: Come to “THINK ABOUT IT”
Work in group and talk about it, then answer them.
Step three: Learning lesson 28 by themselves in groups.
1.Listen to the passage and correct pronunciation, understand the passage meaning,then fill in the blanks.
2.Listen to the passage and answers some questions. (Listening once or three times for finishing off number 2 of Let’s Do It.)
Step four:
1..Read the lesson and answer the questions. (At first, read the questions and know the meaning. Second, read the passage silently and find the answers to the questions. )

Q3 What would make Lucas happy
Q4. Why would Lucas like to be a teacher
2. Then, read the passage one sentence by one sentence and find something that it’s important or you don’t understand it. Then ask them to read the it aloud in pairs and later pick out the useful phrases. Explain the key phrases to then Finish off number 1of Let’s Do It.)

3. At last, Write down something important on your notebook and explain.
Step five: Work in groups. Finishing off number 3 of Let’s Do plete the dialogue with the sentences in the box.
Step six: Work in groups. Ask the students to read the text and then work in groups to act it out. The members should include Mike, Peter, Krista, Krista’s bother and grandmother.
四、 达标训练,作业布置。
1. Finish some exercises of lesson 28 in exercise book.
2. Do some exercise that you think it important of homework.
