1、知识目标: 1)学习单词run/ fast/ far/ high/ winner/ afraid和词组run fast/ jump high/
jump far/ ride fast等。
2)重要句型—— 情态动词“can”的基本句式:
a. 肯定句/ 否定句:I can do something./ I can’t do something.
b. 一般疑问句:
Can you do something 及其回答 Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.
c. 拓展学习:
① Learn the words and phrases about sports:
running/ 100-metre race/ 200-metre race / 400-metre race / relay
race/ long jump/ high jump/ skipping/ solid ball/ shuttlecock/
bounce the ball/ tug-of-war/ basketball/ volleyball/ balloon
volleyball/ football
② 特殊疑问句What can you do for the Sports Day 及其回答
I can do something.
2、技能目标:学会用情态动词“can”表达自己会做某事以及询问他人是否会做某事。
3、情感目标:培养孩子学会与他人交流,同时鼓励他们勇于挖掘自身的潜能,力争上游。

十、教学过程:
1. Lead-in.
(1) Greetings.
(2) Warm-up: A chant.
Look at the birds

(3) 通过学习有韵律的歌谣,导出本课书的重点can, 同时引起学生求知的欲望。
讲解:can (情态动词)+ 动词原形。
2. Presentation:
(1) T: Look!Here are some things I can do. Please guess what they are.
1) The teacher does the actions and the students guess.
2) Ask the students to read the verbs.
3) Make sentences by using “I can…”.
4) The students read the sentences together.
5) The students read the sentences one by one.
(2) T: If you want to know whether the other person has the ability, how to ask You can ask him/her like this:“Can you … ”
1) Make sentences by using “Can you… ”, and then learn how to answer.
Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.
2) 讲解:can’t = can not
3) The students try to ask the teacher, and the teacher answers their questions.
4) The teacher asks the students, and they try to answer the questions.
5) Pair-work: The students try to ask and answer with their desk mates.
6) Ask some students to make sentences.
(3) T: Now, Sam and his friends, Amy and Daming, are coming. Let’s see what things that Sam can do and what he can’t do.
1) Listening comprehension:Listen to the tape, try to understand the meaning of the text.

2) Listen to the tape again, let the students check their answers.
3) The teacher explains the new words and phrases of the text:

4) Watch four short videos of the students, and try to find out who the winner is.
5) The students try to imitate to read the text after the recorder.
6) The students try to read the text together.
7) Role-play: The students try to play the roles of the text.

3. Practice:
T: Sam can run fast, jump high and jump far. What can you do and what can’t you do Please write down the sentences.
Do exercise: Fill in the table and make sentences by using “I can…” & “I can’t…”
