人称代词(he / she / they等),物主代词 (my / your / his / her等),及指示代词( this / that / these / those)的使用,能够让语言连贯,层次分明,增强篇章结构的严谨性和逻辑性。
如:写句子中第2题的后一句中的my parents可用they代替,与前一句中的my parents紧密相连。第5题的第二句中my brother's name可用his name代替,第三句中的Jim可用he代替,这些都与my brother紧密相连,达到连句成篇的效果。
