Forrest Gump: He is close to his mum as he talks about her and what she says a lot. He is a bit simple, which can be seen from his reaction to the bus driver and to Jenny.
Jenny: Kind and direct. She is the only one to offer Forrest a seat, and then introduces herself and asks Forrest questions.
Mrs Gump: She loves and cares about Forrest. She has a great influence on Forrest, who always mentions what she says or does.
Plot Forrest takes the school bus on the first day of school. The children are mean to him except Jenny, who offers him a seat. They sit together and have a conversation all the way to school. Soon they become great friends.
