Talk about the subject they are good at, and their learning methods for it. Write an e-mail to Lihua to help him with his English, and tell him the methods to learn it.

Teaching procedures Step 1: Lead-in Greetings Look and guess: What is Danny doing Step 2: Pre- reading Answer the question: Who is Danny writing to What’s the subject of Danny’s e-mail Listen to the tape about the first e-mail and write true or false. The teacher was very angry with Danny. The teacher smiled at Danny. Step3: while-reading: What did Danny do in P.E.class Read the part1 and fill in the blanks. All of the teachers make us study very very hard. My favourite subject is physical education. Everyone laughed except the teacher. Read the second e-mail and answer: How many e-mails has Li Ming written today What’s the best way to learn English Who has helped Li Ming Step3: post-reading: Retell the second e-mail. Think: How do Li Ming and Danny communicate with each other What do you think of e-mail Step4: Practice: Group work: Activity1: Li Hua has some difficulties in her study, can you help her by writing an e-mail about the ways you use to study your subjects. 通过问候拉近与学生的距离并创造英语学习的氛围。使用图片让学生看激发学生兴趣。以猜测的形式导入,引发学生思考、,导入文章主题,为进一步学习做好铺垫。 1读前设置两个观察问题,让学生进一步了解邮件的格式,了解邮件的上方每一部分的内容信息。同时让学生对刚才问题所做的猜测进行检查。 2.语篇虽然为阅读文本,但根据语篇内容可设置为听力填空题,学生通过听材料填空进一步熟悉语篇。挖空的内容为本课的新单词和短语知识,在语篇中去运用和理解单词,在这个过程中学生对新单词的理解会更加深刻。 读Danny的邮件,学生能够根据邮件内容提取关键信息。了解Danny在体育课上做的动作,同时掌握短语put...on... 通过填空的形式对本课的新单词physical;except,runner的学习。在这个过程中对重点单词except进行了解。 3.读李明的邮件并且根据内容回答问题,从语篇中提取关键信息来回答问题,对语篇内容进一步了解。并对文章内容进行总结。 根据关键提示能够复述李明邮件的基本内容,加深对语篇的理解。 本课的语篇题目与e-mail相关,学生根据语篇内容可以了解到e-mail的好处,从而引导学生说出e-mails are helpful。 最后练习部分拓展到写作上,设置情景给李华写邮件。同时给学生提示单词和所用的表达方式。学生根据自己的知识和平时的学习方法利用邮件的方式帮助李华。既复习了邮件的格式,学生也在次过程中体会帮助他人的快乐。

Homework Required homework: Write a short passage to introduce your favourite subject and the methods you use. Optional homework: Tell the main ideas of the two e-mails to your parents. 根据学生情况,将作业设置为基础作业和弹性作业。基础作业通过再读课文加深印象、巩固所学;通过写邮件交流的方式让学生了解学习方法,并对自己的方法进行改进。
