Welcome to the unit
教学目标
1. Understand the key words and some important expressions.
2. Learn how to talk about the daily life.
3. Develop the students’ ability of listening and speaking.

1. Learn some new words: wake, shall, hill, seldom, out, need, rest, after-school, activity, homework, usually, never, start,quarter,past
2. Practise some sentence structures:
I get up at 6 a.m.every morning.
When do you get up
When do you go to school
What do you do after school
What time do you start lessons

Talk about daily life freely.

教学过程
Step 1 . Revision
Review the name of meals and the different activities presented on page 19. divide the class into groups of four. Brainstorm the topic of daily life. Ask Ss to draw an activity if they do not know the word in English.
Step 2 . Presentation
Talk to Ss about daily routines and activities.
E.g.: I get up at 6 in the . when do you get up
Step 3. Practice
Teacher asks Ss to sort their activities into different sections: leisure-sports-eating-school.
Teacher tells Ss to write down the say and time when they typically do these activities.
Each group writes the four lists on the board. Then teacher lets Ss write a diary. Ss can copy the activities they want to include in their diary.
Work in pairs to talk about their partners’ diary.
Step 4 . Learn vocabulary
1. Go through Part A and read the words and phrases correctly. Pay attention to their pronunciation.
2. Ss complete the task and check answers. Encourage Ss to memorize the collections of Part B.
3. Let Ss go through Part B and explain the context. Ask Ss to do the task on their own , then check answers . Ss correct any mistakes and the teacher explains something if necessary.
4. Divide the class into pairs. Let Ss read the conversation and ask some pairs to act it out.
Step 5. Homework
1. Learn some new words and phrases by heart.
2. Describe your daily life in your own words.
3. Preview Reading.
