Identifying Topic Sentence and Supporting Details
■ A topic sentence or an argument states the general idea or
the main point of a text or paragraph. Supporting details give
more information about that topic sentence.
Read the text to get the general idea of each paragraph.
Identify one sentence that states this general idea of each
paragraph. This is the topic sentence and argument.
Read the text again. Look for extra information that supports
the topic sentence or argument, e.g. examples, reasons. These
are the supporting details.

In my opionion, friends should focus more on face-to-face communication, and less on online communication. This is the best way to maintain healthy relationships.

Online communication is a solution when there are difficulties with face-to-face communication. For example, people live far apart (and are friends or have common interests), a person suffers from social anxiety and may find it easier to talk to people online, etc.
