　　As a masterpiece for the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the movie The Battle at Lake Changjin was on show on September 30, 2021. The movie is about the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea(抗美援朝). It tells the story that the Chinese People′s Volunteer Army went to fight in North Korea in 1950.
The war broke out in the cold winter in 1950.Actually, the real battle is much more dangerous and difficult than that the movie shows. During the battle, many soldiers didn′t move in the cold in order not to be found by the enemies. And many were frozen to death. Under such difficult conditions, our soldiers still beat their enemies.
The main characters of the movie are two brothers Wu Qianli and Wu Wanli. They both join the Chinese People′s Volunteer Army. Wu Qianli seems to be very serious, but actually has a kind heart. He always carries a notebook that records 677 names of his comrades. Most of his comrades die. His younger brother, Wu Wanli, grows from a countryside teenager to be a brave soldier.
The movie shows those heroes who fought bravely and selflessly for our nation and our people. Many people are moved. Their spirit and heroic actions continue to influence the younger generations deeply.
Now we live in a peaceful country and we should remember that the peaceful life of today depends on the hard work of the older generations. So it is the duty of the younger generations to make our country stronger in new times.
