I had a fun, but embarrassing day today. I was invited to have dinner at my classmate′s home. I was supposed to arrive at 7:00, but I thought it was better to get there a little late. So I got there at 7:10. When I got there, the dinner was ready and they were all waiting for me. I felt very sorry. What was worse, I wanted to shake hands with his mother, but she gave me a hug. During the dinner, I didn′t finish eating the food on my plate. I felt so embarrassed that I forgot to say thanks when I left.
This is a lesson to me. It is really necessary to learn some local customs when having dinner in a strange place.
