Rules for giving gifts in China:
It′s quite common to bring gifts to the host when you are invited in China. It is a right way to say thank you to give gifts to the people who invite you.
The recipient often refuses the gift while the giver has to insist a bit. The recipient should not appear greedy(渴望的) when others give a gift to him or her in China. So the recipient often refuses the gift you give twice or three times before accepting. You should offer the gift again after the recipient refuses the gift, and he or she may finally accept your gift.
The gift should be wrapped(包裹) well. It is not suitable to give the gifts with market bags.Meanings of colors for the gift wrap are red for happy situations, white or black for the dead, gold or silver for weddings.
Choose a wise gift. When you visit others, you can choose gifts, such as wine, tea and something that is useful to the whole family. Also, some special gifts of your country or family are also very meaningful. If you are visiting a newly-wed(新婚的) couple′s house, some small household appliances like juicers, tea sets are good ideas. If you are visiting a senior couple, fitness equipment(健身器材) is always welcomed.
General tips for accepting gifts:
The recipient should accept the gift with both hands.
Chinese recipients usually won′t open gifts in front of the giver immediately. They believe opening gifts immediately will show visitors that the recipients care the value of gifts more than the visitors′ visiting and this is slightly impolite. They will open the gift in Chinese etiquette(礼节): Gift-giving happens after the party or visit and then the recipient will offer back or send a thank-you message to the giver. So if you receive a gift, you could ask, “Would you mind my opening it right now ” After receiving a gift, you can call, give back a gift or send a message to show appreciation(感激).

由第二段的最后一句“You should offer the gift again after the recipient refuses the gift, and he or she may finally accept your gift.”
故选A。
由最后一段的第二句“They believe opening gifts immediately will show visitors that the recipients care the value of gifts more than the visitors′ visiting and this is slightly impolite.”
