本课是外研版九上M10,该模块的内容和旅游有关,与学生的生活联系密切。今年来随着中国经济的发展和人们生活水平的提高,旅游成为人们关注的一个热点,越来越多的家长利用暑假带领学生到各地观光旅游,因此,本模块的内容是学生熟悉并且感兴趣的话题。通过本模块的学习,学生能够掌握that引导的定语从句的用法,更准确地描述某一地方的风土人情,从而更好地与他人交流。第二单元的课文通过书信的形式描述了澳大利亚的景色。由于内容新鲜有趣,学生容易产生兴趣。教师可以借助课文,引导学生展开富于交际性的活动,如让学生谈论自己的真实经历、介绍感兴趣的景点或当地的旅游资源等,描述当地的人们、食物、生活方式及旅游过程中遇到的事情,这在学生的生活中非常有实际意义。
