I.语言点精讲
1. The DJs choose songs the most carefully.音乐节目主持人挑选歌曲最细致。
choose意为“选择,挑选”,可作及物动词或不及物动词,后面接人或物作宾语。
常用结构为:
choose from(后接挑选的范围)从……中挑选
choose (not) to do sth. 选择(不)做某事
我将从那些书里挑出最好的一本。
I will choose the best one from those books.
我们选丹尼当我们班的班长。
We chose Danny to be the monitor of our class.
2. It has the biggest screens. 它有最大的屏幕。
biggest是big的最高级形式。形容词的最高级用于三者或三者以上(人或物)的比较,最高级的前面一般要加定冠词the,后面常接of/ in短语来说明比较的范围。
它是所有苹果中最大的一个。 It’s the biggest apple of all.
形容词和副词最高级的构成:
一般情况在词尾直接加 est;以字母 e 结尾的只加 st:
hard hardest late latest
重读闭音节词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加 est;
big biggest
以辅音字母 + y 结尾的先变 y 为 i 再加 est
happy happiest
在多音节和部分双音节词的前加 most 或 least
beautiful most beautiful
此外还有一些不规则变化的单词,需要我们特殊背诵。
3. How do you like it so far
How do you like... =What do you think of... “你认为……怎么样?”
常用来询问对方对某物或某人的印象、评价、看法等。
例: How do you like Chinese food
= What do you think of Chinese food
你认为中国食物怎么样?
—How do you like Chinese food
=What do you think of/ about Chinese food
—I like it very much. 我非常喜欢。
so far“到目前为止”,指从过去某一时间开始到现在这一段时间
so far ①=by now到目前为止;迄今为止
到目前为止,一切都好。
So far so good.
so far ② (距离)如此远;(程度)如此深
我没有把握能步行这么远。I’m not sure to walk so far.

thanks for…意为“因……而感谢”,是向对方表示感谢的句型,后面接名词、代词或动名词,也可说成“Thank you for…”。

In Britain, some people say they will do anything if a famous person they love asks them to. One in three people in Britain has a new kind of disease(疾病) — he/she loves a famous person too much.
