知识目标 学生能够认读识记下面的新单词和短语,理解它们的意思和用法。 新单词:chopstick, coin, fork, blouse, silver, glass. cotton, steel, fair, grass, leaf, produce, widely, process 短语: be made of, be made from, be made in, environment protection ,both...and, be known/famous for, as far as I know, be ready, by hand, be good for 学生能掌握下面的重要句子。 -- Is it made of silver. -- It was made in Thailand. -- What is it made of /from -- It seems that many people all over the world drink Chinese tea.
能力目标 1.学生们能be made of/from/in谈论物体被制造的情况。 2.同学们通过课堂的听说练习能够提高听说能力。
情感目标 培养学生互相交流的能力和对事物的观察能力。
教学重难点
重点 掌握新单词,短语和句型的意义和运用。
难点 能正确使用be made of/from/in句型谈论事物的生产情况。
主要教学步骤
Step 1: Lead-in Greet the class as usual. Show students some pictures of people of objects and materials for making objects. Then ask students learn the words of these material names. Ask students to discuss the use of these materials. In a few minutes, several students will be invited to share their answers. 4.Ask students to look at the pictures of objects and lead in with the following sentences: --What is/are ... made of --It is/They are made of… Ask students to practice these above sentences. Listening material 1: Step 2:Pre-listening 1.Complete the task in 1a. Ask students to look at the instruction of 1a and the table.Match these things with the materials. More than one answer is possible. Check the answers. Step 3: While-listening 1.Complete the task in 1b. Ask students to look at the instruction of 1b and the table.Then play the tape for Ss to listen for the first time. After listening, ask students to match the products with what they are made of and where they were made.2 minutes later, play the tape again.Check the answers. Step4: Post-listening 1.Complete the task in 1c. Practice the conversation in 1a. Then make conversations using the information in 1b. You can do it like the following example: A: This ring looks nice. Is it made of silver B: Yes, and it was made in Thailand. After 3 minutes, several students will be invited to the front of the classroom to perform their conversations. The teacher will explain relevant language knowledge points, and ensure that students can understand. If students have problems, the teacher must explain them. Listening materials 2: Step 5:Pre-listening Ask students to look at the picture and these sentences in 2a, then predict what the listening material is about. Step 6: While-listening 1.Listen to the recording for the first time, then check your prediction. 2.Complete the task in 2a. check (√)the main topic of Nick and Marcus’conversation.. Check the answers . 3.Complete the task in 2b. Play the tape again. After listening, ask Ss to Write short answers to the questions.. After 5 minutes, check the answers. Step7: Post-listening 1.Complete the task in 2c. Make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.You can do it like the following example: A:What did you see at the art and science fair B:I saw ... A:What is it made of / from B:... After two minutes, several students will be invited to act out their conversations. 2.Pair work Role-play the conversation in 2d with your partner. Step8: Language points The teacher will explain relevant language knowledge points, and ensure that students can understand. If students have problems, the teacher must explain them.
