Step 1 Lead-in and warming up
A. Warming up by learning some new words.
New words:
table, bed, dresser, sofa, chair, drawer, schoolbag, books, keys,
baseball, plant
where , where`s =where is, they, where are, they`re=they are
in, on, under
B. Lead-in by asking wh- questions
---What`s this in English ?
---It`s a table.
---What`s this in English ?
---It`s a bed.
Step 2 1a Match the words with the picture
Point to each word at the left and repeat it after me..
Match the words with the objects in the picture by writing the letters of the objects on the lines next to the words
At last let’s check the answers together.

Step 3 learn new structure---where questions
1. On: 介词,(在表面)上的,例如:
On the table 在桌子上 on the bed 在床上
2. under:介词,在……下面。例如:
under the table 在桌子下面 under the bed 在床下面
3. in :方位介词, “在……之间” 例如:
in the drawer 在抽屉里 in the schoolbag在书背包里
4.--Where is……--It`s on /under/in….
--Where are……--They are on /under/in….
Step 4 Pairwork
Make conversations by using the prepositions on, in, under.
Sample dialogue:
A: Where’s the baseball? B: It’s under the chair.
A: Where are the keys? B: They’re on the sofa.
A: Where are the books? B: They’re in the bookcase.
Step 5 Guessing game
Step 6 Listening 1b
Listen and number (1-4) the things in the pictures when you hear them.
Play the recording for several times. Then check the answers:

Listen and number the things [1-6].
Step 9 Listening 2b
Listen again. Find the things from 2a and number them in the picture [1-6].
Step 10 Pairwork 2c 2d
Ask and answer questions about the things in the picture above.
Homework
