Step2: Presentation 1) Self-introduction and learn “hello” T: Let’s make a brief self-introduction again. For example, my name is Ms Xiao. I am from Jiaxing. Understand Ss: Yes. T: Good. Who wants to have a try S1:... T: Hello, S1. S1: Hello, Ms Xiao. S2:… T: Hello, S2. S2: Hello, Ms Xiao. … T: You are so good. Then, can you spell “hello” Ss: H-E-L-L-O. The teacher introduces herself and asks the students to introduce themselves to the whole class. Step 2 Presentation 1. Greet different students with these patterns: Good morning./ Good afternoon./ Hello. 2. Try to greet the students with “How are you ” Help students to answer: I’m fine,/ Fine, thank you. Step 3 Listening and speaking 1.Play the recording in Activity 1 and have the students read after it. Ask the students to pay attention to the pronunciation. Then practice in pairs. 2.Have the students match the sentences in Activity 3, then play the recording in Activity 3 and check their answers. 3.Play the recording in Activity 4 and let the students number the sentences. Step 4 Practice 1. The teacher practises a dialogue with some students in turns as the following. T: Good morning. S: Good morning.
