一、 温故知新。
Check some words and phrases of lesson 15.
二、 激情导入。
Teacher says: This unit we talk about an important western holiday . It is Thanksgiving. Now let`s memories when the Thanksgiving is in Canada When is it in the U. S.
Student answers: in early October and in late November
Teacher says: Today let`s learn about the exact time of Thanksgiving. It is celebrated on second Monday in October in Canada, and on the fourth Thursday of November in the US. Do you know why this holiday is celebrated
Then discuss this question with students. And get some reasons:(to thank for the harvest and good health) It is also a time to return home to see family members and friends for most people.

Step one: Showing the teaching aims on the blackboard and asking students to read them together.
1.Remembering some new words and phrases of lesson 15 work in group.
2.Talking about Thanksgiving day.
3.Understanding the passage meaning.
Step two: Come to “THINK ABOUT IT”
Work in group and talk about it.
Step three: Learning lesson 16 by themselves in groups.
1.Listen to the passage and correct pronunciation.
2.Listen to the song and fill in the blanks. (Listening once or three times for finishing number 2 of Let’s Do It.)
