Point 1
make作使役动词，意为“使，让，叫”，后接不带to的动词不定式作宾语即：make sb. do sth.
当做实意动词“制造”讲时，则没有这个用法
a lot of意为“大量，很多”，既可以修饰可数名词，也可修饰不可数名词。

(1)make + n. + n.使……成为……
We make Bob our monitor.
(2)make + n.+ adj.使……处于某种状态。
Don’t make our classroom dirty .
(3)make friends with sb.和某人交朋友
My favourite class is physical education (P.E.). Yesterday in physical education (P.E.) class , I put Brian’s shorts on my head and his runners on my hands. Everyone laughed except the teacher. “That’s not funny , Danny,” he said . But I saw him smile.

except作介词，意为“除了……之外”其后可接名词、代词、介词短语、that从句或what从句。
We go to school every day except Saturday and Sunday.
except表示A-B
beside表示A+B
see sb. do sth.意为 “看见某人做某事”，do是省去动词不定式to后的动词原形。此处作宾语补足语。
强调看见了事情的全过程，动作已经结束或看见某人经常做某事。
I saw her run out just now .
We often see him draw in the classroom .

see sb. doing sth.看见某人正在做某事。
doing是宾语补足语。
I saw the boys playing football on the playground when I passed by.
write to sb.意为“给某人写信”，相当于write a letter to sb. 或write sb. a letter
对应词组：

tell sb. to do sth.
tell sb. not to do sth.
Please tell him (not) to go to the teacher’s office .
the best way to do sth. “意为做某事最好的方法”相当于the best way of doing sth.
动词不定式短语to learn the language作定语放在它修饰的词之后。
（1）a lot意为“非常；很多”，做状语，可修饰动词，也可修饰比较级，多用于肯定句。
I worked a lot yesterday, so I felt a little tired, but now I feel a lot better .
(2)a lot还可以表示经常，在句中作状语，相当于often .

(3)a lot还可以做主语和宾语。
A lot has been done about it .

Point 4
help sb. with sth.相当于help sb.(to) do sth.意为帮助某人做某事。
My mother often helps me with my homework. = My mother often helps me (to) do my homework.

with the help of sb. = with one’s help在某人的帮助下。
help oneself to sth.随便吃某物
help sb. out.帮助某人摆脱困境。
