Teaching procedure:
一、 温故知新。
Check some words and phrases of lesson 14.
二、 激情导入。
Step1. Play a piece of music to Ss about happy birthday to lead in.
Step2. Discussion and Work in group to discuss it .
Have you got any presents
How did you feel when you got a nice present
三、 新课学习。
Step one: Showing the teaching aims on the blackboard and asking students to read them together.
1.Remembering some new words and phrases of lesson 14 work in group.
2.Talking about happy birthday.
3.Understanding the dialogue meaning.
Step two: Come to “THINK ABOUT IT”
Work in group and talk about it.
Step three: Learning lesson 14 by themselves in groups.
1.Listen to the passage and correct pronunciation.
2.Listen to the dialogues and tick the correct answers . (Listening once or three times for finishing number 2 of Let’s Do It.)
Step four:
1..Read the lesson and answer the questions. Finishing number 1 of Let’s Do It.(At first, read the questions and know the meaning. Second, read the dialogue silently and find the answers to the questions. )

Q3: What does Jenny think the bright green jacket Q4: What colour does Li Ming like best
Q5: What do they buy for Li Ming finally
2. Then, read the dialogue one sentence by one sentence and find something that it’s important or you don’t understand it.
3. At last, Write down something important on your notebook and explain.

Language notes:
1. get ready for …造句:
2. be away from … 离开
He is away from home. He isn’t at home. He isn’t in.
He is out.
be … away from … 离…….一段距离
Beihai is about 200 kilometres away from Nanning.
3.think about相当于think of,意为“思考,考虑”think about+名词或v-ing
What do you think about = What ……think of?
4.Your cousins go at the bottom.So do you! 你的堂兄妹居末尾。你也是如此!
So do you!的意思是“你也一样!你也如此!”,等于You go at the bottom, too. So+助动词/be动词或情态动词+另一个主语,这种结构是主谓倒装的。表示另一主语与前面所陈述的某人的动作或状态有着相同的肯定概念,其中so的意思是“也这样,也如此”。如:
I study in No.19 Middle school and So does my brother.我在19中读书,我弟弟也是。
She is a teacher,So am I.她是老师,我也是。
另一结构“So+主语+助动词/be动词/情态动词”,表示赞同,表示对前句所说的事的肯定,意为“确实是这样的,果然”。如:
It’s raining.下雨了。-----So it is.果然下了。
I love my father.我爱我的父亲。------so you do.的确如此。
Step five: Work in groups. Read and act:
Let the students role-play the dialogue before class loudly. And let them try to make up new ones with a partner after class. Then act it out.
Step six: Work in groups. Finish number 3 of Let’s Do It and discuss it with each other. Then present it to the whole class. Review how to express season and summarize this e-mail.

1. Finish some exercises of lesson 14 in exercise book.
2. Finish some exercises of lesson 14 in learning design.
3. Do some exercise that you think it important of homework.
