I.Learning objectives:
Knowledge level: be able to know the pronunciation and meaning of new words, such as screen, seat, ticket, comfortable and so on.
Ability level: be able to compare at least three things and find out the most with superlative degree.
Emotion level: be able know the best for others may not be the best for us, choose what you love and love what you choose.
II.The importances and difficulties: use the superlative degree to make comparisons.
III.Teaching procedures:
Before class:Free talk with the students with superlative degrees. Choose what you like and enjoy what you choose after class.
Step one: Lead – in
Watch a short video from Sheree, the teacher’s friend from the US. She will come to Zibo during the Christmas time. Please help the teacher to make a plan for the coming of Sheree.
Step two: Activity one
Choose the best transportation--- present the superlative degree of some adjectives (cheapest, biggest, and fastest)
Rap the adjectives.
Step three: Activity two
Choose the best movie theater.
Task one: look at the pictures and know that a good movie theater should have some qualities.
Task two: compare Wanda, Womei and Qina to know the biggest screen and the closest to city center.
Task three: listen to the tape (it is rearranged before according to the real situation) to get more information about the movie theaters.
Task four: Pair work to choose the best movie theater you think.
Step four: Activity three.
Choose the best restaurant.
Task one: compare Hai Dilao, DaHongmen with HuangChenggen to find the most popular restaurant, the most delicious food and the best service.
Task two: What do you think of the 3 restaurants
Step five: Group work
Help the teacher to pick Sheree up. Make a dialogue between Sheree and the students with superlative degrees. And share them.
Step six: watch a video. To know the best to others may not be the best for us. Choose what you love and love what you choose.
IV.After-class: Surf on the Internet to find out as much information as possible about the most of Zibo. And e-mail to the teacher.
