【教材分析】
本课选自新版PEP小学英语六年级上册Recycle2, 内容是一篇故事,故事描述了三个年轻人因一位富翁提供的种子种出不同的花,而体现出的不同的做人做事的方式。故事中包含了关于三位年轻人的职业和表达情绪的单词,意在对本册书后三单元的重点内容---职业和情绪等进行巩固。六年级的学生已能明白故事的涵义,在读故事的过程中他们会巩固所学知识。
【学生分析】
本课教学对象是六年级学生,大部分学生从三年级开始接触英语学习,已经具备一定的英语听说读写的基础,积累了一定的词汇量。而在六年级上册后三单元中,学生已经学习过了一些关于职业的词汇,也学会了简单表达情绪的单词。这些将对他们读懂本篇故事奠定基础。另外情节曲折的故事,对于六年级的学生来说,也会引起极大的兴趣。在了解学生心理以及知识基础的情况下,进行高效的教学设计,让学生经历有深度的阅读体验。

【Teaching Procedure】
Step1 Warm-up
Greet the students.
Step 2 Lead-in
Enjoy a short video about the growth from seeds to flowers.
(设计意图:让学生感受种子成长为花的过程,引入本课话题---种子与花。)
Step3 Pre-reading
Look at some pictures and learn the new words.
Free talk about the flowers.
(设计意图:辅助学生解决在读故事时会遇到的词汇障碍,并引发学生对故事相关内容的兴趣。)
Step3 While-reading
Ask the students to predict the orders of pictures about the story.
(设计意图:培养学生依据图片对故事整体内容的预测能力。)
2. Ask the students to read the story and check if the order is right.
3. Ask the students to read para.1 and underline some important information in their books.
(设计意图:分段阅读过程中,找出故事的构成要素的信息——时间、地点、人物,培养学生细节阅读的能力,)
4. Ask the students to read para.2 and circle what the three young men bring after three months.
5. Ask the students to read para.3, 4 and 5 to answer the questions and then summarize the changes of three young men’s feelings.
(设计意图:引导学生阅读过程中,关注故事隐含的情绪变化的线索,既能帮助学生更好地阅读和理解故事,又能帮助学生巩固复习以及运用已学的有关表达情绪的词汇。)
6. Let the students think about what they have learnt from the story and choose the best title for the story.
(设计意图:引导学生在读过故事后对故事背后的深意有所思考,并对故事内容从整体把握,从而为故事选出最好的标题。)
Step4 Post-reading
Summarize how to read a story and show a mind map of reading a story.
(设计意图:用思维导图的形式归纳总结一篇故事的构成元素,引导学生对文体特征和行文结构进行初步认知。)
Retell the story according to the given clue.
(设计意图:让学生用思维导图的框架复述故事,能更加完整并有条理,为以后学生能读懂更多故事,甚至创编自己的故事做好铺垫)
Read another story.
