宾语从句(一)
主句
1. 定义:在主从复合句中充当主句的宾语的句子称为宾语从句。如:
Rose said she would visit us sometime next week.
露丝说下星期的某个时间她会来看望我们。

2.引导词的选用:当宾语从句是陈述句时,引导词用that;当宾语从句是疑问句时,则根据意思选用if / whether或特殊疑问词。
用法 举例
陈述句的引导词用that,常可省略 “I am going to meet my net friend in Guangzhou,” he said. →He said (that) he was going to meet his net friend in Guangzhou. 他说他将要在广州见他的网友。
一般疑问句的引导词用if / whether (是否)。若从句中有or或or not时,则只能用whether “Would you like to play basketball with me ”he asked me. →He asked me if / whether I would like to play basketball with him. 他问我是否要和他去打篮球。
Was it a fast train or not I wanted to know. →I wanted to know whether it was a fast train or not. 我想知道这是不是一辆快车。

特殊疑问句的引导词用特殊疑问词 How old are you They want to know. →They want to know how old you are. 他们想知道你多少岁了。

【拓展】一般情况下,以what和how开头的感叹句可以相互转换,转换后意义不变,如:
What a tall building it is! = How tall the building is!这栋建筑真高啊!
2. 判断感叹句的引导词是what还是how:先把主谓+其他部分去掉,如果最后一个词是名词用what,如果是形容词或副词则用how。若没有主谓则直接根据最后一词而定。如:
What a fat duck it is! 这只鸭子太胖了! (本句主谓是it is, 把它们去掉,最后一词是duck, 为名词,故用what)
How fast the cat runs to catch the mouse! 这只猫捉老鼠时跑得真快!(本句主谓是the cat runs, 把它们及后面其他部分去掉,最后一词是fast, 为副词,故用how)
What helpful inventions! 这些发明太有用了! (本句没有主谓,最后一词是inventions, 为名词,故用what)

another, other, others, the other与the others的区别
比较项 含义及用法 举例
another 意为“另一;又一”,指“三者或三者以上中的另一(事物或人)” I lost my pen, so I bought another one. 我的钢笔丢了,所以我又买了一支。
other 意为“其他的;另外的”,泛指“另一个、另一些”。作定语时,常与可数名词复数连用 We learn English, Chinese and other subjects. 我们学习英语、语文和其他科目。
比较项 含义及用法 举例
others 相当于“other+复数名词”,泛指“别的人或物(但不是全部)”, 不能作定语, 常构成“some …, others …”结构 Some like fruit and vegetables, others like junk food. 一些人喜欢吃水果和蔬菜,还有一些人喜欢吃垃圾食品。
the other 特指两者中的“另一个”, 常与one连用, 意为“一个……另一个……”,也可用在单数或复数名词的前面 My sister has two skirts. One is yellow, the other is black. 我姐姐有两条裙子。一条是黄色的, 另外一条是黑色的。
