Design Principles Based on the English Curriculum Standard, the general teaching aim is to develop the students’ abilities of reading comprehension. To achieve this target, we should pay more attention to arouse the students’ interest in the reading material, develop good reading skills,form the students’ leaning strategies,strengthen the cooperating abilitiesAs far as I can see, as a teacher, we should make full use of the teaching material instead of just teaching the text. We should find more relevant materials to help the students understand what they will learn better.
AnalysisonLearners The students have learned English for many years and they are used to junior high school life. They have the ability to understand a passage. And also they have learned some useful language structures and the knowledge about the environment . However, they are lack of vocabulary. Some students are not active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes. So I must try my best to help them recall what they have learnt and build their confidence in expressing their opinions in English.

Expectationsof the Teaching Results Students are expected to express some facts about the Earth in English. They are also supposed to grasp specific information in a relevant material. At the same time, they are expected to make a poster about Protecting the Earth by group work.

Feedback To involve every student in class activities, I need to design more tasks of various forms and difficult levels. In future, I should offer more help to the low-level students so that they can experience more feelings of success and achievement.
