Analysis of the teaching object The students in this class are very young and energetic. They have great curiosity on everything around them. According to this character, I will try to attract their attention by watching, listening, reading and acting. At the same time, I will give them more chances to speak English and to communicate with others in English. In addition, let students speak English as much as possible in their daily lives.
Analysis of the teaching materials Unit6 is about travelling. Students are very interested in this topic. This article shows us some methods to introduce cities and famous sites. There are some new words and phrases in the main reading article. Accordingly, students can put what they learned into practice after learning.
Teaching aims Knowledge aims 1. Students try to get familiar with some new words and phrases. 2.Students can grasp the main idea about the famous scenic spots in Shanghai and the feature of the text.
Emotional aim To arouse the students’ interest of different places and different cultures.
Key point Introduce the famous scenic spots in Shanghai, like People’s Square , the Bund and Yu Garden

I have been to many interesting places in China, such as…Where have you been before S: ...T: If you have enough time and money, where will you go S: If I have enough time and money, I will go to…T: If I have enough time and money, I will go to Shanghai, do you like to go with me S: Yes.T: Let us go. The aim of free talk is to arouse the interest of learning. And at the same time learn about ‘‘if’’ clause.
Step twoLeading in(Pre-reading) A. Enjoy a video about Shanghai, including famous sites in Shanghai. Let the students make a good impression on ShanghaiB. Then the teacher let the students scan the titles and the pictures of the passage and finish the exercises in the exercises in Before you read. C. The teacher let the students read the article quickly and finish a spidergram.

1).Is Yu Garden a traditional or a modern garden 2). What is in YU Garden 3).What can you buy outside the garden Let students to summarize some key points by asking and answer some questions. Step fourPractice (Post-reading) Task one: Add more information to the spidergram.Task two: According to the spidergram, work in pairs to be a guide to introduce Shanghai.Task three: To be a translator to introduce Shanghai.
