用法
1. try to do sth. 意为“试图 / 努力做某事”,其否定形式为try not to do sth.。如:
An old man tried to move the mountains. 一位老人试图移山。
2. dead是形容词,意为“(因为缺电)不运行的;不转动的”。如:
Suddenly the radio was dead. 收音机突然没声音了。
1. try的其他用法:
(1)try one’s best to do sth. 意为“尽某人最大的努力做某事”。如:
We should try our best to practise speaking English. 我们应该尽最大的努力去练习说英语。
(2)try on意为“试穿”。如:
Can I try it on 我可以试穿一下吗?

(3)try还可用作可数名词,意为“尝试”,常构成短语have a try,意为“试一试”。如:

2. dead还可以意为“死的;失去生命的;枯萎的”。如:
