设 计 内 容
教学内容分析 This lesson is the second part of Topic2. It mainly talks about people’s jobs and workplaces. The students will go on learning how to ask and answer about people’s workplaces on the basis of Topic 1.
教学目标 语言知识 (1) Learn the sentence patterns about inquiring workplaces.(2) Go on learning the expressions about occupations.(3) Develop and train the students’ abilities of communication.
语言技能 (1) Work in pairs.(2)Do some listening .
情感态度 Show love to jobs.Show respect to people with different jobs.
学习策略 Use imagination to relate to the verb and none forms of a word.Understand the non-verbal information according to the pictures or sounds given.
文化意识 Know about some expressions about jobs.Know about different jobs of family members and the society needs different jobs.
分析学生 The students can read and translate the words and phrases correctly. There will be some difficulties in making new conversations for some unable students.
教学分析 教学重点 The main activity is 1a and 1b. The teaching key points is: Be able to ask and answer about the workplaces.
教学难点 难点 How to use the aux. verbs “do / does”, though they have learnt it in Topic 1, and the words “work and works” correctly.
解决办法 Let the students read the conversations more and work in pairs, using the aux. verbs “do / does” to make the new conversations. And they can help each other.

呈现与讲解 1. Show a picture with two farmers working on a farm . Ask and answer between the teacher and students according to the picture , and lead to the new sentence patterns.
