一、 整体设计思路、指导依据说明
本课的语言功能进一步学习询问人物外貌特征的表达方法“What does he \she look like ”。同时学习把某物给某人“give sth to sb=give sb sth”;交际语言：Sorry,I don’t know her.Oh,I see.I’ll give it to her.等；另外，还将综合复习颜色类单词以及询问国籍和描述他人外貌特征的表达法。主要从学生的兴趣点出发，或直观展示，或创设情境，最大可能给学生创造好的课堂环境。与《英语课程标准》强调课程从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发，倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式，发展学生的综合语言运用能力，使语言学习的过程成为学生形成积极的 情感态度、发展思维能力、提高跨文化意识和形成自主学习能力的过程相吻合。
二、教学背景分析
学生情况分析：七年级的学生思维活跃，活泼好动，喜欢交流，思维活跃，善于和同学交流，对贴近自己生活的音乐话题有着浓厚的兴趣，也乐于表达自己，渴望达到同学和教师的赞许。但是，他们的逻辑思维能力不够，需要教师的引导。
三、教学目标分析
知识与能力 能够正确读出以下单词会听，说，读，写下列单词： give letter sorry like tall will for young man men woman women2. 能够用英语询问和描述人物外貌特征的表达方法 big black eyes long legs short blond hair She is young. He is tall3.能用以下句型进行对话： 1) What does she look like ---- She is tall.

五、教学过程设计
Step1 Warming up and Review1.Play a song.2.Show Ss’ learning goals of this class.3.Revise the words about colors 4. Let the students learn the new words by the pictures. Then have a competition.设计意图：播放英文歌曲《两只老虎》，由学生的兴趣经历入手，轻松地进入今天的学习话题.通过介绍本人家人的照片学习本课有关的新词，拉近师生距离，激发学习的兴趣。
