Section B 2a-3d (第一课时)
Teaching material (教材分析)
The key points (重点):To describe a person’s look, to read and understand the article in this part, to learn how to describe a person in different ways. (描述外貌特征; 阅读并理解文章含义; 学习从各方面介绍人物)
The difficulties (难点):To write a passage to describe their best friends with the words, the phrases, the structures they’ve learned. (书面表达 综合运用描述外貌特征的词、句、短语以及句式介绍好朋友)
The aims (学习目标)
1. To review the words , phrases and structures about describing looks. (复习描述外貌特征的词、句和短语)
2. To learn how to introduce a person in different ways. (进一步学习从整体描述人物)
3. To understand the passage in this part and write some sentences to say their friends. (理解分析短文和书面表达练习)
Teaching steps (教学过程)
ⅠRevision (温故知新)
To review the phrases and structures about describing looks (复习描述人物外貌的句式,短语)
Ways (复习方法):Let the students describe their own looks. (让学生介绍自己的外貌特征)
ⅡNew lesson (新授课)
1.To learn 2a, the students watch the form on the ppt and learn the opposites. (学习2a 学生看ppt表格,学习反义词。)
1)The students say the opposites out. (学生说出各词的反义词)
2)The teacher ask two boys who look very differently to come to the front of the classroom, and other students say the differences. (教师请两位体貌特征完全相反的同学到教师的前面,让学生观察并描述其体貌特征。)
Eg A is tall. B is short. A is heavy but B is thin,
A wears glasses. B doesn’t wears glasses.
A has short straight hair but B has short curly hair.
3)The students watch the ppt and find out the differences (学生看PPT 观察人物之间的不同点:每组图片有两张人物图像,且人物外貌特征完全不同,让学生谈论两图中人物的不同特点。)
In this step the students should do oral practice (此环节是口头展示)
Ways (展示方式):a. To describe one person in one picture sentence by sentence (逐句表述一幅图片的人物特征)
b. Then compare the persons in these pictures
(然后对每组两幅图片进行对比描述)
c. Use the structures above. (使用以上句型)
2.To learn 3a Read this passage and fill the blanks. (学习3a 读这段文字并根据文意用所给词填空)
1)Ask one student to read it and fill in all the blanks. (请一名学生读短文并填空,全体学生听题并纠错)
2)Ask another to translate it. (请另一名学生边读边逐句给出汉意)
3. Read the passage again. (再读本段文字)
1)To analysis the passage and to find out the ways of introducing Jack, We can find Jack’s name, age, nationality, look, clothes and hobbies (教师带领学生分析本段文字,兵找出本段文字从哪些方面介绍了Jack。教师和学生共同找出本文从名字、年龄、国籍、外貌、着装、嗜好等方面描述了作者的朋友。)
2)To watch the ppt and the students learn to describe a person in different ways .And the students complete the profile chart to remember the points of describing a person. (观看PPT 介绍人物的剖析图 从名字、年龄邓几方面来介绍一个人,让学生从整体上学习掌握介绍人物的内容要领。并结合本段文字让学生讲Jack 的各方面内容情况找出来并完成剖析图,以此训练学生的阅读理解能力。也以此纤细进一步让学生记忆介绍人物的各要点。)
4.To write (表达训练)
1)To watch ppt and make sentences to introduce someone with these structures. (学生观看PPT 结合上一步学习与训练的内容,让学生进一步学习介绍人物的句型。)
Structures: Name: His/Her name is…
Age: He/She is…years old.
Nationality: He/She is/come from…
Look: He/She is…. He/She has…
Clothes: He/She wears…
Hobbies: He/She likes…
2)After that, let the students write a passage to introduce their friends. The title is My best friend . (学习完各句型后,结合介绍Jack的这段文字,让学生写一篇小文来介绍自己最好的朋友。 题目为My best friend 给学生大约五分钟时间完成此练习)
3)Then the students correct the mistakes in their compositions (之后让学生在对组之间互相度彼此的文字,并为同伴找错并改错。即学生之间先互评。)
4)The students read their writings and the teacher should help find out the mistakes and correct them (学生展示小文要求学生到同学们前面读出自己的小作文。期间教师要注意更正学生的语法和表达错误。)
