Step 1 Lead-in
Show the date and place that Dr. Yuan Longping passed away. Ask Ss to read loudly. Lead Ss to guess what happened on this day in China.
Purpose: Arouse Ss’ learning interests and lead to the topic quickly.
Step2 Pre-writing

Lead Ss to conclude the five Wh- questions to write a past event.
