一、教材概述
本课是科学普及出版社Project English 七年级上册Unit3,Topic3第二课时Section B。本课将承接上一课继续学习Would you like... 句型,以及学习在饭店就餐时的常用语。为下一节课的进一步学习作铺垫。新单词有usually,breakfast,lunch,supper,food。短语和新句型有a glass of,wait a moment ,May I take your order, sir?主要句型是What do you usually have for breakfast?I usually have milk and bread for breakfast. May I take your order, sir?Rice and chicken, please. Would you like something to drink Yes. A glass of apple juice, please. Wait a moment, please. 本课主要从学生兴趣出发,通过创设情景等多种形式,以旧带新教学新单词、新短语和新句型。并通过games、dialogues、listening、reading、picture talking、group work、pair work、survey、class activities等多种活动,复习旧知,联系新知,训练学生的听说和读的能力,提高学生的语言运用能力,让学生能学以致用,活学活用。
二、教学目标
1.知识目标
(1)Review the sentence patterns about having meals.
①Help yourself/yourselves (to some fish)!
②I would like…
③Would you like… Yes, please./No, thanks.
④What would you like to drink/eat/have
(2)Review the Countable Nouns and Uncountable Nouns.
Countable Nouns : egg,vegetable,banana,hamburger…
Uncountable Nouns : water,juice,fish,chicken,milk,bread,rice…
(3)Learn some new words :usually,breakfast,lunch,supper,food,take one’s order, wait a moment
(4)Go on learning the sentence pattern “Would you like... ”
(5)Learn the expressions used in the restaurant.
①A: May I take your order, sir?B: Rice and chicken, please.
② A: Would you like something to drink B: Yes. A glass of apple juice, please.
③ Wait a moment, please.
2.能力目标
能够掌握Would you like... 句型以及在饭店就餐时的常用语。具体如下 :
①提高学生听、说、读的能力。
听:能听懂就餐时的常用语。
说:能用英语表达就餐时愿意提供、乐于接受和拒绝接受的用语。
读:能读懂有关就餐的简单的对话或小短文。
②培养学生主动参与学习活动,善于和他人合作的能力。
3.情感目标
(1)能通过一起就餐,培养学生热爱生活和乐于了解异国饮食文化的情感。
(2)通过比赛,就餐表演、小组调查和唱英文歌曲的方式,激发学生英语学习的兴趣,增强其学好英语的信心,乐于参与英语实践活动,互相交流。
(3)在学生两两交流和小组合作交流中,培养学生合作意识和合作精神,能够相互配合完成一段通顺流畅的说话训练,顺利完成就餐表演、小组调查和唱好英文歌等学习任务。
4.过程与方法
(1)能够通过师生说、两两说、四人小组活动、班集体活动和自主听读体验交际式英语教学的一般过程,掌握英语听说的基本方法;
(2)能够通过两两说、四人小组活动、班集体活动和综合探究活动体验合作学习的过程和方法;
(3)能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言,有语言表达和与同学交流的愿望。
5.情感态度与价值观
(1)通过比赛,就餐表演、小组调查和唱英文歌曲的方式,激发和保持学生英语学习的动机,实现“趣能”两得;
(2)在学生两两交流和小组合作交流中,培养学生合作意识和合作精神,能够相互配合完成通顺流畅的说话训练,顺利完成就餐表演、小组调查和唱好英文歌。
三、教学重点及难点
重点是掌握Would you like... 句型以及在饭店就餐时的常用语。难点在于学生能听懂并运用所学的就餐常用语。
四、学习者特征分析
1.学习者是初一的学生,他们在小学时已经学习了usually,breakfast,lunch,supper,food,a glass of这些单词和短语,但在这套教材中仍把其当作新词汇进行教学;
2.学生对water,juice,fish,chicken,milk,bread,rice,egg,vegetable,banana,hamburger等关于饮食方面的可数名词和不可数名词已有一定的了解;
3.学生对Would you like... What would you like... 等句型已较熟悉;
4.学生思维活跃,善于和同学交流,乐于表达自己,渴望得到同学和教师的赞许;
5.学生对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣,但是英语的听说和读的能力还要继续加强;
6.学生对于PPT talking和picture talking的呈现形式感到很好奇,很喜欢游戏、比赛、调查、唱歌等多样的活动形式。
五、教学策略
1.师生示范策略:教师通过和1~2个学生的口语交际,给全班同学的两人一组或四人一组说话活动训练作示范,让学生清楚说话的内容和方式;
2.自主听读策略:学生通过自主听读课文材料和拓展材料,在完成课标要求的基础上训练听说能力,积累和丰富英语词汇和句式;
3.比赛、调查和歌曲激趣策略:通过games、survey、sing a song等活动形式,有利于形成宽松活泼的课堂氛围,同时借助多种活动形式来巩固学过的句型和单词,在语言运用中学习英语。
六、教学过程
Step1 Warm up and revision.
组织教学后,以学生兴趣为切入点,师生配动作齐唱英文歌Apple Round, Apple Red进行热身,学生迅速进入学习状态后转入复习环节,整节课以AB两大组比赛贯穿始终。
Task 1 Group work. Review Section A 1a.
本步骤中要充分利用实物小饭桌、台布、食物和饮料创设了较为真实的邀请朋友在家就餐的情景,老师鼓励与引导学生不看书本并运用自己的英文名和已学知识四人一组进行模仿对话练习,要求对话中要用上下列表达,并在书本原对话的基础上有所创新。AB两大组各一组进行表演,老师打分。

Task 2 Review Countable Nouns and Uncountable Nouns.
Countable Nouns : egg,vegetable,banana,hamburger…
Uncountable Nouns : water,juice,fish,chicken,milk,bread,rice…
教师把关于饮食的图片分发给AB两大组,拿到图片的学生判断图片上的物品是可数还是不可数,并迅速到台前向全体师生展示。老师为两大组表现打分。
Step2 Presentation
通过创设真实情景引入新单词、新短语和新句型。
(1)usually,breakfast,lunch,supper,food,take one’s order, wait a moment

(4) A: Would you like something to drink
B: Yes. A glass of apple juice, please.

Task 1 Present the new words: breakfast,lunch,supper,usually,food
通过学生看PPT上的图片和师生问答对话自然而然地呈现新单词,为下一步呈现新对话1a扫清生词障碍。AB两组开火车进行比赛,老师根据表现进行打分。
Task 2 Present 1a.
本步骤是通过师生对话呈现新内容1a。
A: What do you usually have for breakfast
B: I usually have noodles for breakfast .
A: What about lunch
B: I usually have rice, fish and vegetables.
A: And supper
B: Chicken. It’s my favorite food.
Task 3 Present 2a.
本步骤中要充分利用实物小饭桌、花瓶、红玫瑰花和菜谱创设了较为真实的服务员招呼顾客就餐的情景,通过师生的表演呈现了2a。呈现后要求学生开动脑筋猜出划线部分意思。

Step 3 Consolidation
Task1 1a Look, listen and say.
Please listen carefully and fill in the blanks.
Michael has _____ and _____ for breakfast. He usually has _____, _____ and _____ for lunch. He has _____ for supper.
要求学生合上书本听录音获取信息,然后学生听录音跟读,跟读前提醒学生注意语音和语调,最后是学生齐读。老师根据AB两组听填信息情况进行打分。
Task2 1b Pair work.
学生两人对话练习并完成填表格任务,AB两大组各一组表演,老师打分。
Step 4 Practice
Task1 2a Listen, read and say.
Listen carefully and answer:
1.What would Mr Li like to eat
2. What would Mr Li like to drink
学生先听录音回答问题,然后听录音跟读,跟读前提醒学生注意语音和语调,最后是学生齐读。老师根据回答问题的表现给AB两组进行打分。
Task2 2b Pair work
学生两人对话练习共同完成2b填空任务,然后进行两人对话练习。教师利用实物小饭桌、花瓶、红玫瑰花和学生自创菜谱创设较为真实的服务员招呼顾客就餐的情景。老师鼓励与引导学生们在角色扮演练习中尽量不看书本,运用所学知识进行练习并有所创新。AB两大组各一组上台表演,老师打分。
Step 5 Project
Task1 Make a survey in groups of 4 and then find out whose diet is the healthiest.
让学生拿出上课前所发下的调查表,四人一组进行活动,要求学生要使用自己的英文名并做到人人开口,最后推荐一位成员进行汇报,分析谁的食谱最健康,并说明原因。AB两大组各一组表演,老师打分。所印表格如下:
Make a survey in groups of four and then find out whose diet(饮食) is the healthiest(最健康).

Task2 3 Class activities Sing this song.
在这个步骤中老师先示范配动作唱,学生跟唱跟做,反复两遍。然后师生一起听歌曲录音,边听边唱边做动作。最后AB两大组分别进行表演,表演前唱歌和做动作佳优者可上台领唱领做动作,老师对两组表演作评价并进行打分。
Step 6 Sum up.
(1)Review Section A about inviting classmates to dinner at home.
(2)Review the Countable Nouns and Uncountable Nouns.

老师通过总结活动,帮助学生回顾本节课所学的内容,明确本节课的重点和难点。要求学生通过齐读方式巩固所学的新词和重点句,加深记忆。
Step 7 Assignment
1. Set a weekly healthy diet for your family/your school/the old/…
2. Review what we have learnt today.
3. Discuss and find out about :
(1) healthy food and unhealthy food.
(2) healthy diet pyramid(健康饮食金字塔)
在这个步骤中通过问学生:Do you love your family/school 学生们答案当然是肯定的。此时恰当给出评价:You are all good children and good students.并用上本课重点句型Would you like… 问:Would you like to do something for others 学生们的回答也是肯定的。教师马上竖起大拇指给出肯定评价:Good!教师再次运用本课重点句型Would you like… 问:For your assignment, I would like you to set a weekly healthy diet for…很自然地就过渡到了作业布置这一步骤。
关于作业1的设计,教师应给出示范表格如下:
