Thursday, July 18th
Today (be) a beautiful day. My father and I (go) to Penang Hill again, but this time we (want) to walk to the top. We (start) our walk at 9:30 a.m. We (see) lots of special Malaysian flowers along the way. About one hour later, we (stop) and (drink) some tea. Then we (walk) for another two hours before we (get) to the top. I (be) quite tired, but the city (look) wonderful from the top of the hill!

We waited over an hour for the train because there were many people.
因为人很多,我们等了一个多小时的火车。
【智慧点睛】
because of 是复合介词,其后可接名词或代词,动名词。如:
He lost his job because of his age. 由于年龄关系他失去工作。
because为连词,引导原因状语从句。如:
He didn’t come because he got up late.
因为他起床晚了,所以没有来到。
2) ※ feel like的用法
【智慧点睛】
feel like意为 “想要做……”,与would like、want意义相近。但是用法却有区别:
(1) feel like + doing 如:
I don’t feel like walking very much today. 我今天不太想散步。
(2) would like to do 如:
I would like to buy a new computer. 我想要买一台新电脑。
(3) want to do 如:
Do you want to go shopping with me 你想和我去购物吗?
