一、教学目标
1. 能够掌握重点词汇和短语:building, hall, dining hall, gate, library,office, playground, science,lab, behind, between, middle, near, with, for, room
2. 能够掌握重点句型:
(1) Behind the library, on the left, are the school offices.
(2) Between this building and the dining hall is the classroom building with twenty-four classrooms.

3. 能够读懂描述物品位置关系的文章,并且能够通过描述判断出图中物体之间的位置关系。
4. 能够正确使用表示方位的介词来描述物体的位置关系。
5. 能够写出有关方位描述的句子,同时正确使用代词“it”和“they”。

Step 1 Warming-up
Look at the pictures and review some prepositions of place.

Step 4 Post-reading
Language points
1. In the middle of the school is a big playground. 在学校的中间是一个大操场。
in the middle of意为“在……中间”,既可以表示时间也可以表示地点。
There is a boat in the middle of the river. 在河中央有一条船。
We have lunch in the middle of the day. 中午时间我们吃午饭。
2. The library is on the left of the playground near the school gate. 图书馆在操场的左边,靠近学校大门。
near意为“靠近,接近,在……旁边。”
There is a bank near here. 这儿附近有家银行。
【拓展】near做形容词,意为“近的,不远的,接近的”,反义词为far“远的”。
She is near to me but the cat is far from me. 她离我很近,但是那只猫离我很远。
3. Between this building and the dining hall is the classroom building with twenty-four classrooms. 在这幢楼和食堂之间是教学楼,里面有24间教室。
with 意为“与……在一起,和,具有(某些品质、特征)”。当主语后有with, together with时,谓语动词与with前面主语的单复数保持一致。
He with his parents is going to visit Mount Tai next week. 下星期他和父母要去游览泰山。
This is a big garden with many trees. 这是个有很多树的大花园。

1. Look at the sentences and learn the short forms.
2. Answer the questions. Use short forms.
