Module 9 People and places
Unit 1 We’re enjoying the school trip a lot.
一、教学目标:
1. 熟练掌握本单元重点词汇:
call, lie, sun, lie in the sun, take, take photos, wait, walk, a few, few, enjoy, enjoy doing, back, go back
2. 句式:
I’m standing on the Great Wall of China and talking to you.
Tony is eating a delicious ice cream.
Wang Hui is taking lots of photos.
Lingling is buying a few present sand postcards.
Daming is having lunch and lying in the sun.
3. 能听懂正在做某事的短对话。
4. 能够用现在进行时谈论人们正在做的事情。

五、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Brainstorming: trip
2. T has a free talk with Ss: Can you think of any other places of interest If our school is going to have a school trip, which place would you like to go
设计意图:头脑风暴引出旅行主题,再到谈论学校旅行,自然引入本单元的话题。
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. T teaches Ss new words and expressions by some pictures.
2. Ss read these words and expressions in groups. After each group reading the words and expressions, T corrects the pronunciation and intonation.
3. Ss read the words and expressions together.
设计意图:通过看图学习词汇,增加学习的趣味性,同时也为后面的听力环节做下铺垫。
Activity 1
1. Ss look at the pictures and describe what is happening.
2. Ss read the words and expressions in the box and make sure that they know the meaning of each word.
3. Ss work in pairs and match the words and expressions with the pictures and talk about the pictures. Tell Ss there may be more than one expression for each picture.
4. Invite some pairs to demonstrate in front of the whole class.
设计意图:学生通过观察图片内容进行结对子对话,生生对话,以学生为主体,了解图片信息,并且为接下来的听力做准备。
Activity 2
1. Ss look at the pictures and describe them in pairs. Then listen to the recording and number the pictures in correct order.
2. Ss listen to the recording for the second time and check their answers.
3. T and Ss check the answers together.
设计意图:准确捕捉事件的顺序,进一步熟悉与话题相关的词汇,加深对be doing 的感性认识。
Step 3 While-listening
Activity 3
1. Ss listen to the recording and get some simple information by answering the following questions:
Where is Betty
2. Ss listen to the recording again and answer the questions.
3. Ss listen for the third time and complete the table in Activity 3. After that, Ss work in pairs and talk about what the people are doing.
Step 4 Post-listening
Activity 4
1. Ss read the conversation loudly and underline some key words and sentences.
2. Ss read through the sentences and decide which the correct word is and underline them.
3. Ss check their answers in pairs.
4. T and Ss check the answers together.
Activity 5
1. Ss work in pairs. Say what people are doing in the conversation.
e.g. — Betty is talking to her mother.

2. Ss read the sentences with V-ing. Then T tells Ss what the present continuous is.
3. T presents some language points.
a. 现在进行时:表示正在进行的动作或状态。
构成:助动词be +动词现在分词形式(-ing形式) ——am / is / are + v-ing…
b. What about the others
the others意为“其余的人”。
辨析:other, the other, others 与 the others
c. Lingling is buying a few presents and postcards.
a few意为“几个;一些”。
辨析:few, a few 与 little, a little
d. We’re enjoying the school trip a lot.
(1) enjoy是动词,意为“享受”,enjoy sth.
(2) a lot 意为“非常”,修饰副词、动词、形容词。
辨析:a lot, a lot of和lots of
设计意图:活动3-5多种途径训练学生的听、说、读以及思维的能力,使得学生对对话内容有了更深层次的理解。
Activity 6
1. Explain that this activity is to practice pronunciation.
2. Play the recording without stopping and tell them to listen to the sounds and words.
3. Ss read the sounds and words after the recording.
Activity 7
1. Ss read the words and underline where the stress in each word is.
2. Ss read the words after the recording.
3. Ss read them and T corrects their pronunciation.
设计意图:掌握单词的正确读音,使学生的发音更纯正。
Activity 8
Ss work in pairs and say what the people are doing at the moment.
e.g. I’m learning English. My teacher is talking…
设计意图:锻炼学生的语言表达能力,达到语言输出的目的。
