教学目标 1.学习目标:1)Words and expressions: road, accident, except, choice, classmate, far, far from, close, crowed, all the time. 2). To understand conversations about trips and transports. 3).To talk about they how to go to school every day. 2. Function: Describing and comparing modes of transportation. 3. Structure: Superlative adjectives and adverbs (-est, most); irregular superlatives. 4. Skills: 1) Listening and understanding familiar topics (transportation) 2) Comparing modes of transportation. 3) Writing a short passage comparing modes of transportation.
教学重点 1.Key structures: What happened Don’t worry. Maybe I should go to school by taxi. It’s the most comfortable way ,but it’s also the most expensive. Superlative adjectives and adverbs (-est, most); irregular superlatives.
教学难点 Superlative adjectives and adverbs (-est, most); irregular superlatives.
学情分析 学生在七年级的时候已经学过如何表达“出行方式”,且所任教班级的学生大多数都是乘车、骑自行车和步行的方式,所以本课的话题对他们来说,比较熟悉。易于导入,并进行授课。

Step1 Warming-up Review the words of transportation by playing a guessing game. Listen and say.(listen to the record and say.) Step2. Pre-listening 1)Look at the pictures and say the English words. e.g. bus- by bus/ train – by train/… Work in pairs. Ask and answer. Step 3. Listen to the T and try to know about the important points of this lesson. Step4. Look and say. Look at pictures and say. ( try to use the Superlative adjectives) Step5.While-listening Read these words together. Match the words with pictures according to the listening. Write the words next to the pictures. Step 6.Listen and read Listen 、read and find out the right answers. Step 6.Listening Students complete the table according to the listening. Check answers in their groups. Step 7. Post -listening Watch the video and try to retell the Betty’s classmates’ ways to school. plete the sentences with the correct form of the words in the box. Step 9 Complete the sentences with the words or expression in the box. Step 10 Language points and summary. Play the record and ask Ss to say.) 1) T-Ss’work (Ask and answer) T: How do you often go to school T:I often go to school by bus/train... T gives examples like this: 1) My home is close to school, so I walk to school. I go to school by bus, because I live the farthest from school. T shows some pictures to lead the Ss to compare, learn the Superlative adjectives and summarize the rules. Look at the pictures, and say something about the pictures. Ask Ss to listen and read the conversation in Activity 3,finish off some tasks . Ask the Ss to read the conversation again and complete the table.(P27) Ask Ss to retell their ways to school.
