教学目标:
知识与技能 通过阅读了解中国古代神话故事用英文的表述方式,在阅读中强化学生对故事的了解。
情感态度 乐于将中国文化通过英语传播到世界各地。
学习策略 读图预测策略,扫读策略。
文化意识 通过学习神话故事了解中国文化。
学情分析:
已有基础 语言知识 学生对于用英语介绍中国传统经典故事已经有了一定的了解,且对于本堂课要讲的孙悟空有非常深入的了解,所以本堂课在理解上对于学生来说难度不大。通过前两个章节的学习,学生已经基本能用英语叙述一些简单的中国神话故事,了解了一些中国古代神话故事的英文表述。通过《愚公移山》等神话故事的学习,已经理解故事叙述的基本要素(time, place, character, event),已能初步懂得运用合理的时态、借助连词(as soon as, unless, but, so, finally)完成故事叙述。本课应继续强化训练,学生用英语讲中国故事。重点在阅读后的语言输出。
思维能力 能根据上下文语境,构词法知识,推断理解单词词义;能阅读生词量不大的英文读物,理解大意,获取相关信息;能尝试对故事发表自己的见解,学会多角度看待问题。
学习策略 能根据不同阅读目的选择对应的阅读策略,具备初步的猜词意识。
存在困难 1)不能快速、准确地抓住阅读中的关键信息,缺乏归纳梳理信息的能力,批判性思维能力仍然有待提高。2)用自己的语言准确、全面的介绍中国神话故事存在一定的困难。

阅读前——热身 激发学生兴趣,激活背景知识,呈现新词及相关表达,为阅读做铺垫。
阅读中——语言输入 快速阅读:了解话题、主题,梳理文章结构,掌握各段落主旨。仔细阅读:获取细节信息和处理信息
阅读后——信息输出 借助问题和图片提示,用英文讲“猴王”的故事。编写思维导图,构建叙事模式。学生讨论,对“猴王”的评价,发展学生高阶思维。联系生活实际,发挥想象,自己想成为什么样的“猴王”。
教学流程
一、阅读前(Pre-reading)
热身(Warming-up)
观看三段《西游记》的英文小视频。激活学生已有的背景知识;激发学生兴趣,感受语言学习的乐趣和魅力——用英语,讲中国故事,传播弘扬中国文化。
视频观看完成后,学生看图,教师逐步设问,启发学生联想“猴王”的相关英文表达,呈现部分核心词汇或表达,为阅读本文了解新知做相应铺垫。
